Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 843

Simon placed the heart-shaped cake before her and said with a smile, "I just baked it. Let me insert these candles into the cake, and you can make a wish!"

Emily, pleasantly surprised, watched him put those colorful candles into the cake one by one with his long, beautiful hands. The depression in her eyes disappeared instantly, and her eyes widened as she said, "I thought you've forgotten!"

"So, that was why you were in a bad temper just now." Simon slightly raised his eyebrows.

Embarrassed, Emily said awkwardly, "When did I lose my temper?"

Simon cast a side glance at her with the pair of charming eyes and smiled pleasantly. He did not tease her anymore. Then he found that there was no lighter to light the candle. Since Emily was pregnant, he had given up smoking and did not carry a lighter with him. So, he went to the living room to get one and lit the candles one by one.

With the candlelight swaying, Emily closed her eyes and put her palms together to make a birthday wish. When she opened her eyes, Simon's handsome features came into view. Then they lowered their heads and blew out all the candles together.

Simon walked over with one hand in his pocket and stopped behind her.

When Emily wondered what he was up to, Simon leaned over and untied the necklace with the silver little fish pendant around her neck. Then, like a magician, he pulled out a red rope from his trouser pocket.

It was not a single rope. Emily could tell that three ropes weaved the necklace. With a closer look, she saw them twist into a delicate pattern.

Simon put the red necklace through the small fish pendant she wore for a long time. Then, Emily saw another smaller fish appeared between his fingers. Like the original fish, this one was also a silver one, but it looked vivid. With the silver light it flashed, it seemed as if this brand-new smaller fish was alive.

All of a sudden, she was attracted by it. "Simon, what's this?"

"Fish!" Simon curled his lips.

"..." Emily rolled her eyes. Of course, she knew it was fish!

Simon put the red necklace through the smaller fish too. Then he pinched each end with his index fingers and thumbs and put the red necklace around her neck again.

Emily lifted up the long hair behind her head. As Simon was wearing the necklace for her, his slightly rough fingertips touch the skin behind her neck occasionally. She felt itchy, and so did her heart. She looked down, her eyes landing on the big and small fish on her collarbone.

Simon's peach blossom eyes were shining. "This little fish is you, and this smaller fish is our baby!"

"What about you?" Emily blinked.

Simon raised his eyebrows and said in a low and deep voice, "I'm the red rope. I'll stay with you forever and bound all of us together!"

He wanted to bound all of us together forever.

Why would such a sweet promise frighten her?

Emily just could not stop herself from touching the smaller fish and the red rope. Simon curled his lips and explained. "A few days ago, I learned to make this red necklace from my grandmother. I made a lover knot by three single red ropes, which means that we'll be together for three lives at least!"

Emily was so delighted in her heart.

With this necklace as a birthday present, she no longer felt jealous when she thought of the little scarf and socks he made for their baby!

She twisted the red necklace around her fingers and could not help smiling.

But... Three lives at least?

Emily pulled back her long hair and raised her head. "Ahem, beast, to learn the sweet promise, you must have watched many romantic TV series, haven't you?"

Simon was speechless.

When he lowered his delicate face to kiss her, Emily meekly closed her eyes.

"Mrs. Chin, happy birthday!" He said with his low voice as he kissed her.

Emily said with a brilliant smile, "Thank you!"
