Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 868

Sean staggered being dragged by the two policemen, but he still stared at Addy. "You've never loved me. You accepted me only because you wanted to shake the unhappy memory of your last relationship. He's the only man you love. You gave up so much for him that year..."

His shouts re-echoed through the corridor.

Addy hugged herself more tightly for Sean exposed her, lay her deepest thoughts bare.

What he said was unpalatably correct. She had never really stopped loving Simon or let go of their past happy memory. Just as she once said, she had long recognized that they were not fated to be together. Even if she still loved him, she would never express her innermost feelings to anyone nor expect to get back together...

Simon, who was standing next to her, frowned as if he had sensed something. When he caught sight of Emily, a chill shiver rippled over his skin.

As he turned around in shock, his pupils dilated in an instant. His face had suddenly tightened as though he was being frozen by the cold air in the winter morning. He cried out, "Emily!"

Hearing this, Addy also turned around in astonishment.

Then they saw Emily was walking towards them on the brown plush carpet —they could not hear her footsteps - and brushed past Sean, who was led away in handcuffs by the two policemen.

Thinking of the last sentence that Sean said just now, Addy was a little awkward. After a short moment of hesitation, she said,"... Mrs. Chin!"

Simon walked forward. He explained, blinking his eyes rapidly, "Emily, I'm just..."

Emily looked at him. He could not look her in the eye, totally bewildered. But in her eyes, it was because he had a guilty conscience.

She did not intend to talk to him, nor did she listen. She just turned to look at Addy, who was standing there.

Suddenly, Emily asked, "Miss Swan, do you still love him?"

Addy did not expect her to ask it in such a abrupt and unexpected way. She seemed to be so aggressive.

Ever since Addy returned home and got to know her, she always acted vivacious and kind. Addy did not expect her to have such a fierce side. She was like a hedgehog that had erected all the spines on her body.

Addy was unnerved as her mouth quivered, "I..."

Seeing that she opened and shut her mouth, Emily understood.

She couldn't breathe as if her chest had been pierced by an iron cone. All she could feel was a constant dull pain in her heart.

She forced a wry smile and didn't say anything, or maybe she didn't want to say anything. She stepped back two steps, turned around, and ran away quickly in silence.

Simon who stood rigidly on the spot, quickly ran after her. Different from the last time when she witnessed Venice naked in his room in Bayworth City, he was much more panicky.

Emily left rapidly. When he ran to the elevator, the door had just closed.

He was too anxious to wait for the elevator. He directly opened the door of the stairwell and ran downstairs on churning legs.

Just a few seconds later, when he ran out of it, he saw that Emily had just passed through the hotel lobby and was running toward the entrance door.

Simon ran to her. When he was about to catch up with her, someone suddenly blocked his way.

The man was one of the policemen who held down Sean. He said politely, "Young Master Chin, you called the police. So you have to go to the police station with us to make a statement!"
