The next evening, Anthea rushed into the living room as soon as she came back from work without changing her shoes into slippers.
After picking up the cup on the tea table and drinking it up, she exclaimed at Emily, "Emily, do you know that Dr. Chin went to Tbridge City? I heard that he left this morning!"
Sitting in a daze on the sofa, Emily was stunned when she heard that. She nodded and replied, "He mentioned it last night when he came over."
"Did he really went to Tbridge City?" Anthea's face was full of shock.
"Well, he must have thought things through!" Emily nodded and said with a smile, "He said that he wishes me happiness..."
After hearing that, Anthea's face was full of doubts. She sat down beside Emily, holding her chin and muttering, "I thought he didn't give up on you. It seemed that he couldn't let you get married. But he changed so suddenly. It's strange!"
Not only Anthea felt that, but also Emily felt that it was strange.
Emily still couldn't believe that Simon wished her happiness now. Even when they broke up half a year ago, Simon didn't say such words. It was as if in his heart, he had always been reluctant to see her with another man...
Anthea shook her head but still could not figure out the reason. She had to give up and changed the topic, "Emily, have you decided your wedding date?"
"Yes, it's the beginning of next month." Emily came to her senses.
Because of Calvin's identity, there was a time limit for his application to get married. Therefore, their wedding time would be relatively shorter in around 20 days.
Taking a deep breath, she stopped thinking about those irrelevant things and raised the corner of her mouth forcefully, "Anthea, be my bridesmaid!"
As the sun rose and set, time flew by quickly.
Although the Desmond family was not rich and powerful, it was literary, located in a quiet villa area. The buildings around it were elegant, and the extent of afforest coverage was large, looking like a southern town.
After lunch, Emily and Calvin went out together.
It was not the first time for Emily to visit the Desmond family, which treated her well. However, she still felt a little reserved, thinking that she would be part of it soon.
Apart from having dinner together, the purpose was to discuss the matters concerning the wedding banquet.
Emily did not have experience holding a wedding. She only felt that her head was in a mess, not expecting that there would be so many complicated things to prepare for the wedding. All that she did for the previous four-year marriage with Simon was going to the civil affairs bureau to get the marriage certificate...
Calvin saw her eyelashes droop and couldn't help asking, "Emily, do you feel tired?"
"I am okay!" Emily replied with a smile.
She was indeed a little tired, having to understand all the arrangements she had to make during the wedding.
Seeing this, Calvin said gently, "How about I send you back to rest, and we can wait until tomorrow to go to the wedding dress store."
Calvin finished most of the preparation for the wedding. Emily almost did nothing. Even the wedding dress was prepared by Calvin. Feeling a little sorry in her heart, she immediately shook her head and said, "It's okay. We have made an appointment. We'd better go!"
"Okay!" Calvin replied.
When Emily was about to walk to the BMW parked in the yard, she heard someone calling her from behind.
"Emily!"
