Reborn, Reawakened, Rekindled novel Chapter 634

"Frank, this is your last chance, it's all on you now," I said to Frank, my tone heavy with seriousness.

He put down the photo and after a moment of deep thought, he finally spoke, "Alright, I'll tell you everything, as long as you keep your promise."

I let out a sigh of relief. Taking care of Frank's ex-wife and son wasn't hard for me; what was challenging was getting him to spill the beans on Karina. I was determined to bring Karina back to face trial, ensuring she wouldn't slip through our fingers again.

Karina had the upper hand abroad, surrounded by influential people she had once helped. Battling her on her turf was tough. Neil and I knew that bringing her back home would mean we could deal with her swiftly and more effectively.

After Frank agreed to disclose information about Karina, I decided to stay in Rosemont for a while. I had my parents bring Serena and Brandon over, so I could keep an eye on them. With the company affairs demanding their attention, only my dad stayed behind while my mom returned home.

"Mommy~" Serena and Brandon had started to pick up simple words, and 'mommy' was what they called out the most every day.

I had Serena sitting on my lap while Brandon was on the play mat, completely engrossed with his toy cars.

It seemed like boys indeed had a thing for vehicles, robots, and planes...

Girls, on the other hand, seemed to prefer soft toys or princess dolls. Serena was particularly fond of a pink blanket adorned with strawberry patterns. Wherever she went, the blanket followed, even now as she clutched a corner of it on my lap.

The scene was so heartwarmingly perfect that I couldn't resist capturing it on my phone, sharing the adorable moment in a group chat with close friends and also sending it to my mom, letting her see how charming her grandchildren were.

As I was debating whether to send Neil a video as well, Brandon suddenly toddled over, using my knee for support as he looked up at me with innocent eyes, calling out "Daddy."

He had no idea where his dad was but seemed so eager calling out, filling the room with his sweet voice. I quickly recorded a video, my lips curving into a smile.

Then, I opened Neil's chat, and with a bit of courage, I sent him the video.

He was busy, so I didn't expect an immediate response. But to my surprise, he replied almost instantly: "He's calling daddy now, did you teach him?"

I typed back: "No, he just started saying it out of nowhere."

Neil: "It's instinct. Someday, if he learns about me and wants to acknowledge me, would you accept that?"

His question took me aback. I had thought about it, but it felt too early to worry about such distant concerns.

So, I didn't reply, and Neil, understandingly, didn't push further.

A bit later, he sent a video call request. Hesitant at first, I accepted.
