Once its true abilities were realized, anyone, no matter how grave their injuries were, could be brought back to life.
“I’ll return in a few days. I have to return home and have a look at Thea.”
James was concerned about Thea. So, after Maxine regained consciousness, he left.
Soon, he was home. Upon arriving home, he immediately pushed the door open and walked in. However, Thea was not in the living room.
He went upstairs and opened the door to his room. There, Thea was sitting in a lotus position on the bed. At the moment, she exuded a terrifying aura, and her pupils were completely red. Upon seeing the state she was in, even James could not help but feel a shiver running down his spine.
“Thea…”
He called out.
Only then did Thea recollect herself. Her terrifying aura subsided, and her eyes returned to normal. Standing up, she looked at James and flashed him a bright smile. “You’re back, Darling. Did everything go well?”
“Yeah, things went fairly smoothly. What were you doing just now? You looked terrifying.”
Thea said, “My blood supply couldn’t keep up, so I catalyzed True Energy to sustain my bodily functions. After today’s cultivation, they should be able to last for an additional three days.”
James fell silent. His blood ran cold upon being reminded of the scene he witnessed a moment ago. Even he, as the husband of Thea, could not help but be intimidated. He found it hard to imagine what kind of person she would turn out to be in the future.
After remaining silent for some time, he said, “I found Crucifier. Here, let me insert the needles into your body. Maybe it might restore the regenerative ability of your blood.”
“Mhm.”
Thea nodded.
