Salute to the General novel Chapter 1169

Flint took a glass of wine over to Penny and smiled. "Hello, Ms. Smith."

Penny returned the greeting, "Hello, Mr. Quinton. Thanks for bringing your child to my daughter's birthday party."

Flint chuckled. "It's good for the kids to mingle around and connect. I'd like to mingle around with Ms. Smith too!"

Penny frowned when she sensed the flirtatious tone in Flint's voice.

Flint continued, "After all, we're both single parents. I can understand the troubles you're going through, Ms. Smith. We should get to know each other better..."

Penny cut him off, "I'm sorry, Mr. Quinton, you're mistaken. I'm not a single parent."

Flint was stunned.

When I sent my child to the kindergarten two years ago and first met Penny, I heard the teachers gossiping about her being a single mother! Since when did she get married?

Penny waved at Nathan, who was entertaining Queenie. "Hubby, come over."

Nathan smiled as he approached them. "Honey, what's up?"

Penny introduced them, "Mr. Quinton, this is my husband, Queenie's biological father, Nathan Cross."

Queenie's biological father?

Flint had heard that Penny had been raped by a drunkard. She had supposedly given birth to Queenie even though she was unmarried.
