Dash instantly turned pale, and his sweat dripped.
Nathan announced cruelly, “Dash Parr, you are a public servant, but you don't care for the people's wellbeing at all. A local company finally made a breakthrough in treating cancer and received global recognition in the medical field. Instead of celebrating our country's success, you aided a foreigner in his effort to steal the fruits of our people's labor. The Chief Military Governor is extremely disappointed in you.”
Dash replied while trembling, “I've learned my mistake, General. I was momentarily blinded and will not make the same mistake again the next time.”
Nathan growled angrily, “Next time?”
Dash corrected nervously, “No, sorry. There won't be a next time at all.”
Nathan knew that Dash would not have done something like that for no reason. Clifford must've ordered him to do so.
“You better mean it,” warned Nathan in a distant tone.
Dash replied, “Understood. I will never do that again. If there's nothing else, I will leave now.”
After saying his piece, Dash wanted to flee with his men.
Unfortunately, Nathan called out evilly, “Wait!”
Dash and the others had no choice but to stop and turn around.
Dash's heart thumped nervously as he turned to
Nathan and asked cautiously, “Do you have any other instructions, General?”
Nathan reminded calmly, “Didn't you say that you want me to go on my knees and clean your shoes for you?”
Gulp!
Dash's heart jumped as horror donned his face.
He knew about his mentor's hatred towards Nathan. At first, he thought that Nathan had lost all power, so he wanted to bully Nathan in public to make his mentor happy.
