Sylvie's taunts and the curious look from the crowd got to Penny and she was so embarrassed she couldn't even raise her head.

She wanted so much to rip the necklace off her neck then hide in a hole where no one would find her.

But right then, Nathan, who was standing beside her, spoke up. "Huh,” he snorted coldly. "I've seen dogs trying to pass themselves off as wolves. But this is the first time I've seen one as hubristic as Ms. Larson."

Everyone was shocked and turned their eyes on Sylvie.

Panic flashed through her eyes, but she held her ground. "What are you saying? Do you know who I am," she asked as she was agitated.

"I am the CEO of Hay Corp, the daughter of the Larson family. Why on earth would I be wearing an imitation?"

She turned to sneer at Penny once again. "On the other hand, do you think a hussy like your wife deserves to wear an exquisite necklace like 'Evermore'?"

Sylvie had just finished speaking when Nathan raised his hand and smacked her soundly across the face.

Sylvie's face swelled up instantaneously and even her neatly styled hair became disheveled.

Sylvie recovered from the shock and yelled angrily, "Bodyguards! Where are my bodyguards? Get him! Finish him off!"

Sean tried to calm Sylvie down while also frantically demanding Nathan to apologize. "How dare you raise your hand on her? Apologize to Ms. Larson right now and ask for her forgiveness."
