Salute to the General novel Chapter 2284

Nathan waved the sanitation worker over and told her to explain everything that had happened to Oliver.

The female sanitation worker never imagined her savior to be the legendary General of the North!

She felt safe knowing she was under the military's wing now and was no longer afraid of Oliver and his henchmen. Hence, she gave a quick rundown of the events to Oliver.

Oliver was shocked and furious after hearing the full story.

He had heard a lot about Nathan even though this was his first time meeting him. He was well aware that Nathan loathed evildoers. Henry and Genevieve had landed themselves in hot soup this time around.

Oliver gritted his teeth and figured the only way to save his son was to create a ruse.

He pretended to be really furious upon that thought and turned to Henry and Genevieve. “I'm going to throttle the both of you to death for doing such nonsense! After all, this is better than seeing you stir up trouble and getting beaten to death by others.”

With that, he whipped out his belt and whipped Henry fiercely.

Whoosh! Slap! The belt landed on Henry's body.

“Ahh!” Henry screamed in pain instinctively.

However, he soon realized in surprise that it wasn't actually that painful.

Henry immediately realized that his father was putting on a show for all to see. He only wanted to make it look like he was teaching his son a harsh lesson.

After Henry realized what his father was up to, he began to cry out in pain pretentiously.

Oliver waved his belt in the air vigorously as his son played along. Henry would even hop around in pain when his father whipped him.

Everyone was dumbstruck as they watched on.

Even the sanitation worker and Genevieve felt frightened.

Whoever said that Superintendent Smith is overprotective of his son must have been mistaken. He's a pretty strict father.

However, Oliver's act could fool anyone but Nathan.

Nathan was well aware that the former was putting on a show for all to see. After all, he had been on the battlefield countless times now.

He couldn’t help but sneer as he watched Oliver pretending to whip his son and Henry howling in pain.

“Superintendent Smith, that's not the way to beat someone up.” Nathan suddenly spoke up.

Oliver paused and stared at Nathan in surprise. “General, what are you talking about?”

Nathan smiled. “I said that's not the way to beat someone up. Colin, why don't you teach Superintendent Smith how to use the belt properly?”
