Without sparing a glance for the injured Ashuras, Nathan said impassively to Max and the rest, “Next, or you can all come at once. Don’t waste my time.”
Max took a deep breath and braced himself to challenge the Chief Military Governor of Eurasia.
However, before Max could reply, Kenshun—a revered commander of the Jetroinian army—emerged from the crowd.
Kenshun sauntered toward Nathan with his hand resting on his katana. “I've heard many things about you, Chief. Word has it that you're undefeatable,” he commented in a conversational tone.
“After what I've seen today, I'm convinced that the rumors ring true. I have been looking for a chance to learn from you. Since the opportunity has presented itself, please allow me to experience your eminence for myself.”
Kenshun had been born into a prominent Jetroinian family. His mother was a renowned Jetroinian ninja, whereas his father was a famed politician.
Since young, Kenshun received high-society education and excelled in music and arts. Furthermore, he enjoyed delving into the martial scripts of Eurasia and was a phenomenal swordsman.
By the time he was ten, word about Kenshun had spread across the nation like wildfire.
Heavy expectation had been laid upon his sixteen-year-old shoulders. Many had hoped that Kenshun would be the one to change Jetroina for the better and restore its former glory.
Despite the mass anticipation, Kenshun only trained in the privacy of his own home.
Even at the ripe age of thirty, he did not reveal his powers in public and simply let his name gain traction.
The public fervently prayed that Kenshun would lead the Jetroinians to success, but their hope dimmed over time, as Kenshun never made his debut.
Some even speculated that Kenshun had stayed hidden because his abilities were too mediocre.
It was not until Kenshun's thirty-first birthday, which was the year before, that he finally showed the public what he was capable of.
The moment Kenshun debuted, he was tasked with a huge responsibility —to lead the Jetroinian army as its commander.
The title 'Commander of the Jetroinian army' was equivalent to 'Chief Military Governor of Eurasia', as both positions were the highest military ranking in their respective countries.
Back then, Kenshun had just taken the position of commander when a territorial dispute occurred between Jetroina and Remdik.
Unperturbed by the daunting task, Kenshun led the Jetroinian army to win the battle and pressured the Remdikians into signing a peace treaty.
After securing his first victory, Kenshun earned the title ofjetroina's New God of War.
Hence, it came as no surprise that Nathan had heard of Kenshun.
Amused, he gave Kenshun a onceover and parted his lips to accept the challenge.
However, before Nathan could utter a word, Isaiah—the Volkian God of War —stepped forward as well.
Isaiah had previously tied in a battle with Lucas, so he was not intimidated by Nathan. He yelled at Kenshun, “General Aoki, I am the lord of this area. Since the Chief Military Governor of Eurasia is wreaking havoc on my territory, allow me to teach him a lesson.”
