Salute to the General novel Chapter 2501

With their general being held captive by Fang, Waldo and the rest of the Volkian soldiers could do nothing but quake in their boots. Paralyzed by fear, none of them moved a finger.

Max frowned slightly. The scale was tipping in Eurasia's favor.

Now that Isaiah was in the hands of the Eurasians, there was nothing that the Volkians could do even if their reinforcements showed up.

Max decided that though Nathan was arrogant, he had every right to be so. This man is terrifying! He isAriarica's number one threat. Since we have the chance to eliminate him today, we should go all out to kill him, no matter the cost. If we allow the Chief Military Governor to return to Eurasia alive, we'll suffer more in the future!

While Max internally debated whether he should personally fight Nathan, Kenshun—who had been silent throughout the whole battle— finally spoke.

“All right. It’s my turn to fight you," Kenshun announced. With a hand on his katana, Kenshun prompted, “Pull out your sword.”

Nathan merely glanced at The Unsullied and replied, “I will if you show me that you're worth the effort.”

Kenshun frowned a bit before putting on a poker face. “All right,” he uttered, his tone indifferent.

With that, Kenshun bent slightly at the knees and wrapped his fingers around the hilt of his katana as he settled into his fighting stance.

His aura had changed dramatically. He exuded an air of intimidation so strong that it was palpable to everyone present.

It was the calm before the storm.

Kenshun stood on standby as the air around him crackled with energy. Just as the tension reached its peak, Kenshun charged toward Nathan.

With a loud rumble, web-like cracks appeared on the ground beneath Kenshuns feet when he catapulted himself into the air. He flew towards Nathan, his body becoming one with his katana as he slashed at the Eurasian general.

Nathan stood rooted to the spot and waited until Kenshun was inches away before moving.

The two men brushed past each other.

Kenshun's katana sliced towards Nathan's underarm in an attempt to cut Nathan in half.

Kenshun did not hold back at all.

His victory or defeat depended on that move alone.

The blade made contact with Nathan, but it only slit his military coat. The military uniform under it was still intact, and Nathan remained unscathed.

In the end, Kenshun had only managed to cut open Nathan's military coat. He had failed to injure Nathan.
