Salute to the General novel Chapter 2504

After Malcolm announced that Volk would not join the alliance, he began discussing with Nathan how to resolve the recent conflict.

When Nathan proposed that he be allowed to take Lucas, the Eurasian prisoners, and the bodies of the fallen troops back with him, Malcolm agreed.

“All right. To show my nation's sincerity, I agree to your conditions.”

No sooner had Malcolm spoken than he turned to Waldo and instructed, “Release all of them. Also, return the bodies of their fallen comrades.”

Waldo Leeson was Isaiah's deputy and a high-ranking officer in the army. He had always stood against Malcolm together with Isaiah.

Deep down, he didn't respect Malcolm at all. In fact, he would often make derogatory remarks about the latter by calling him the president without balls.

Hence, upon hearing Malcolm’s orders to release the prisoners and hand over the dead to the Eurasians, he widened his eyes and pointed his finger angrily at Nathan.

“President Stryker, what did you say? How can you submit to his demands? Who the hell is he? A few days ago, we were able to beat Lucas to a pulp. Today, we can also send Eurasia's Chief Military Governor to join him. President Stryker, there's no way I will release their men nor hand over their corpses to them, for I plan to cut off their heads and pile them together. I want to create an ossuary to warn the Eurasians of the terrifying consequences of going against us.”

His words not only angered Malcolm but infuriated Nathan too.

An ossuary ?

At the end of a battle during ancient times, the victors would dismember the heads of the losers and pile them by the roadside. Subsequently, they would pour cement on it and build a small monument as a sign of their victory and to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies.

That was what an ossuary was.

Consequently, Nathan couldn't tolerate it when Waldo intended to build one with the bodies of his comrades.

Narrowing his gaze, he glared at the latter.

As if he could detect the murderous intent Nathan trained on him, Waldo suddenly felt a chill down his spine and a sense of dread creep into him.

Nathan retorted indifferently, “Who the hell am I? Let me tell you who I am! I'm the Chief Military Governor of Eurasia. For disrespecting Eurasia, I will kill you even if it's in front of your president or you are protected by your entire army!”

Waldo was shocked by Nathan's threat.

Before he could say a word, Nathan disappeared in a flash and reappeared in front of him with his palm raised high, just about to strike.

“Chief Cross, wait!” Malcolm called at the last minute, hoping that Nathan would show mercy.
