Salute to the General novel Chapter 2685

Later that afternoon, a sedan could be seen parked outside the airport with a hundred black Rolls-Royces behind it.

A total of four hundred men in suits stood on both sides of the cars, and the entrance of the airport had also been surrounded by a large group of men.

It was such a grand display that all the passers-by stopped just to see what was going on.

“Whoa! That is a huge amount of people!”

“Did something happen?”

“It looks like they're welcoming a VIP or something!”

While everyone was discussing among themselves, an elderly man stepped out of the airport's entrance.

The man had a slender frame, high cheekbones, sunken sockets, and a sharp gaze in his eyes.

With his walking cane in hand and a huge group of men following closely behind, he made his way through the crowd.

“Oh, my goodness! I can't believe it!

Mr. Freeman is back!” a senior citizen standing in the crowd exclaimed in shock when he saw the old man.

“Who is Mr. Freeman?” the others in the crowd asked in unison.

The senior citizen then told them all about Nelson's past, especially focusing on how great he used to be. “I heard Mr. Freeman is planning on making a powerful return to compete for the position of the president! However, instead of going against Hansel like he used to, his opponent will be the current Chief Military Governor! Tsk, tsk... I wonder who will win this battle...” Unable to hold it in any longer, the people in the crowd expressed their support for Nathan due to his amazing achievements as the Chief Military Governor.

However, the senior citizen disagreed with their statement. “It is indeed an indisputable fact that the Chief Military Governor is superior on the battlefield, but how capable is he when it comes to managing a country? I believe that Mr. Freeman is more experienced in this sort of thing, so he may be better suited for the role of president. Nobody is perfect, after all. Everyone has things they are good at and things they aren't good at. Wouldn't you guys agree?

The crowd didn't really agree with him since they had no idea who Nelson was, but they kept quiet as they couldn't argue with his statement either.
