Meanwhile, in the South in Channing, Eurasia.
Sitting on the wooden bench in the front yard, Nathan and Penny were bathing in the sun.
Nathan held a cup of coffee while the latter had a book in her hand.
Not far from them, Kylie was playing with Queenie, whose cheerful laughter resounded throughout the yard.
As Penny looked at Queenie, who was having fun, she said in delight, “I haven't seen her so happy in a long time.”
“It's probably because I've been too busy with work recently, so I rarely spend time with her,” Nathan explained.
“It's fine. Queenie will have a companion when our second baby is born.”
Something popped up in Penny's mind as she touched her belly.
The female gynecologist probably knew her identity when she went for an obstetric examination two days ago. So, at the end of the test, the gynecologist secretly told Penny that she was pregnant with a baby boy.
Nathan was the only son for three generations consecutively.
That was why Penny wanted a son for the two of them.
Fortunately, her wish was coming true this time.
Penny couldn't contain her excitement any longer and delivered the good news to Nathan.
To that, Nathan furrowed his brows. “Which gynecologist dared to violate the regulations? I'll get her superior to have a word with her.”
Penny chided, “She was only being kind. Don't escalate this matter.”
With a smile, Nathan said, “I guess she was trying to ingratiate you. The gender of the baby does not matter to me.”
“No. Of course, we should have a baby boy after we had a baby girl. That makes them a pair,” Penny said.
A smile finally broke out on Nathan's face. “All right.”
Soon, Queenie and Kylie were tired from playing badminton.
They walked toward Nathan and Penny.
Queenie asked curiously, “Papa, Mama, what are the two of you talking about? You both looked so happy.”
