Salute to the General novel Chapter 3057

Bang! Bang!

Just as Kevan and Tyland moved closer to Max, Max sent them flying with a hit.

When the duo fell to the ground, their bodies were contorted like broken dolls that had been twisted.

Max looked at his bloodstained fist and placed it by his nose to smell it before he uttered calmly, “As expected, the blood of the bishop is different from that of ordinary people. It's even more fragrant and intoxicating. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to enjoy it now.”

With that, he chased after Hepburn in the direction she escaped.

Hepburn brought the remaining two bodyguards with her as she sprinted forward like a startled cat.

All of a sudden, two mysterious men dressed in combat uniforms with masks over their faces appeared in front of her. The men had military weapons in their hands.

The two super-soldiers' eyes lit up when they saw Hepburn.

Instantly, they trotted toward Hepburn and the others.

The two bodyguards beside Hepburn swiftly advanced in the direction of the two aggressive super-soldiers while they said to Hepburn, “Holy Maiden, please go ahead and leave first. We'll stay behind to cover your retreat.”

Upon hearing that, Hepburn immediately bolted.

After running for a few hundred meters and leaving the backyard of the church, she heard agonized screams coming from behind her.

As soon as she turned around, she realized her bodyguards had been defeated by the two super-soldiers. The bodyguards were on the ground, lying in a pool of blood.

Despite having fallen, however, the two bodyguards stubbornly wrapped their arms around the soldiers' legs so that the latter could not go after Hepburn. They wanted to buy as much time as they could for her to escape.

In an instant, Hepburn's tears flowed like tap water out of a faucet.

Enduring the grief, she dashed away to escape.

As the back alley was filthy and dark, she accidentally fell into the smelly drain at the side of the road that was overgrown with weeds after she ran a little further.

Her body was instantly covered with sludge that stank horribly.

Her followers had always thought of her as the elegant Holy Maiden and worshipped her reverently.
