Boom!
Nathan's and Max's fists collided against each other again.
In the face of the resulting force, Nathan stood steadily still while Max was thrown backward by a few steps.
Nathan commented calmly, “Your strength has significantly increased since our last fight at Lady Freedom Harbor. I'm amazed at how you managed it in such a short time, but it's a shame that it isn't enough to defeat me still.”
Max had exchanged more than two hundred moves with Nathan, yet he failed to take him down.
He was instead so shaken by the gargantuan force behind Nathan's attacks that he could feel the spike in his blood pressure and hear ringing in his ears.
Gripped by shock and fury, he declared, “I wasn't planning on using this, but it's clear that I must go all out now.”
Without a moment's hesitation, Max no longer held back, accelerating the flow of blood within him.
Boom!
A reddish-black aura was emitted from his body.
After that, his muscles, like balloons, swelled to double their size, ripping his top apart.
What shocked Colin and Hepburn even more was that a pair of wings made of bones grew rapidly out of his back.
Standing in the dark of the night, Max looked like a terrifying demon who had crawled out of hell.
Even Nathan furrowed his brows at that sight.
Meanwhile, Hepburn commented in a quivering voice, “Wings made of bones... He has them! Only vampires who possess the power of princes have them.”
With his eyes widened, Colin exclaimed in disbelief, “Oh my, gosh! Oh my, God! This guy is actually a vampire and a prince at that?”
As a glint of surprise flashed across Nathan's eyes, he was struck by an epiphany.
“Back then, I wondered how you survived when I clearly killed you at Lady Freedom Harbor. I was certain you had zero chance of remaining alive, yet you appeared unscathed on television a few days after that. When I couldn't make sense of what happened, I simply chalked it up to your stubborn will to live and pure luck. But now, it's evident that turning into a vampire was what saved your life.”
In response, Max puffed two plumes of white smoke out of his nostrils. A murderous aura radiated from his body as he slowly spoke. “Now that you've all known my secret, this night shall be your last.”
Nathan chuckled. “You couldn't even beat me just now. Do you think you stand a better chance just because you transformed into something disgusting?”
Max snorted in response. “We won't know until we try!”
With that, his wings began to flap before he charged at Nathan at lightning speed, throwing a punch at the latter's face.
Nonetheless, Nathan managed to intercept the attack with his hand.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
