Never did Max expect Nathan to possess such terrifying combat prowess while still nursing injuries.
In fact, he felt that Nathan was not any weaker than during their previous battle at Lady Freedom Harbor.
Could it be that Nathan's recent deadly battles have elevated his strength to another level?
For a moment, shock, anger, and jealousy festered in Max's heart.
Eurasia's God of War is indeed God's chosen one!
Nonetheless, given that Nathan was still carrying injuries and had no bodyguards with him, it was still Max's best chance to take him out.
Moreover, if he did not defeat Nathan, he would not be able to kidnap Hepburn, the Holy Maiden, to complete his mission.
Having regained his fighting spirit, Max responded in a belligerent tone, “Nathan, you defeated me at the foot of Lady Freedom back then, but now, I'm going to return the favor in your country. This is no more than an eye for an eye.”
As for Nathan, he was rather shocked to see Max, as he simply could not believe that the latter was brazen enough to sneak into Eurasia, nor could he fathom why the latter was after the Holy Maiden.
Nathan gave Max an icy stare. “If I can defeat you once, I have no problems doing it a second time. Max, Eurasia is known as the land where even Gods are forbidden to tread upon. Consequently, no mercenary or assassin ever dared to step foot here. And yet, here you are. Do you take lightly the saying that death awaits all enemies of Eurasia?”
Max was well aware of the risk he was taking. He knew that the longer he took, the greater the unpredictability of the situation, which would not be in his favor.
Thus, without another word, he threw himself at Nathan and launched a frenzied barrage of attacks once again.
In spite of that, Nathan remained calm and took every single strike in his stride.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
As both of them exchanged punches and kicks, thunderous explosions rang out repeatedly.
