As time flew by, Nathan had recuperated for a month.
Now that he had fully recovered, his white hair turned back to black. Resting at home had also caused his complexion to lighten, making him look more handsome than ever.
With his holiday finally over, he needed to return to Brimmopolis.
Hence, together with Penny, Queenie, Kylie, and his in-laws, Nathan prepared for the journey.
Initially, he had invited Paisley and Maisy to go to Brimmopolis with his family.
However, Paisley declined it on the account that her daughter had started school in Channing and she didn't want to disrupt it. Also, her deceased husband's status might pose problems for her and her daughter if they were to move there.
Therefore, she figured that life in Channing would be more peaceful in contrast.
Unable to convince her, Nathan reminded her to get in touch with him if she ever needed help.
After that, he flew back to Brimmopolis with his family.
Due to Nathan's penchant for keeping a low profile, he took a commercial flight back with his family instead of a private jet.
In fact, all of them were seated in economy class.
At that moment, there was a foreign man seated beside Kylie. Curled up in his seat, he appeared to be feeling cold and suffering from air sickness.
Despite Kylie's concerned questions, the tourist could barely manage a coherent reply.
Assuming that the blond-haired foreigner was feeling unwell, Kylie called for the flight attendant. “Excuse me, this man seems to be getting the chills and suffering from air sickness. Look, he's even trembling non-stop. Please get him a blanket.”
The flight attendant replied with a smile, “Sure.”
Soon, she returned with a blanket to cover the “sick” passenger.
Despite the triviality of the incident, it elicited a snide remark from a nearby passenger. “Tsk-tsk, our girls are really despicable. At the first sight of foreigners, they can't help throwing themselves at them.”
The words triggered a scowl on Kylie's face as she turned to find the source of the voice.
Her gaze then fell upon a group of men with dragon and tiger tattoos covering their bodies. The one who had just spoken had a shirt with large floral motifs on.
Not only was his outfit flamboyant, but he was also very fat. His big mouth and small eyes simply made him look like a toad.
All Kylie did was show concern for a sick tourist, and yet, she ended up being ridiculed for throwing herself at a foreigner.
Given her temperament, she was obviously not going to take it lying down. “Hey, Toadface, who are you talking about?”
Toadface?
