As Nathan and his companions were all dressed in ordinary traders' attire and cloaks, coupled with the fact that Adrunians sometimes struggle to distinguish between Aplothian faces, Lazlo and his men did not recognize Nathan.
Moreover, they never imagined that Nathan, the commander-in-chief of the Earth Alliance, would show up there.
Everyone was glaring at Nathan and his companions.
Lazlo sat atop his steed and looked down at Nathan with an arrogant smirk. “What did you just say?” he asked, his voice laced with derision.
Nathan said indifferently, “I told you to stop. The Earth Alliance has long reached an agreement with the vampires, jointly declaring the coexistence of humans and vampires. Leaders from various countries have also agreed to this plan, carving out the Scarlet Land for vampires to live in. The vampires had also battled against the Gods to protect the Earth, making their contribution. What grounds do you all have for opposing humans coexisting with vampires? Who gave you the authority to define traitors? Who gave you the power to slaughter the people?”
Nathan's voice was not loud, but everyone present could hear him.
Everyone stared at Nathan in bewilderment, left speechless by his reprimand.
Lazlo, however, scoffed at this, saying coldly, “We've been fighting vampires for hundreds of years, and countless people have died at their hands. Do the vampires think they can be on an equal footing with us? No way. Our stance toward vampires is simple. We kill every one of them we encounter. Moreover, should we discover those closely associated with vampires, we won't let them meet a good end.”
At this point, a glint of murderous intent flashed in his eyes as he slowly said, “You defend these traitors so fervently, and you advocate for coexistence with vampires. From your stance alone, it's easy to deduce that you're a d*mned traitor to humanity. Someone seize these fellows too and burn them alive with the traitors in the square.”
No sooner had Lawrence said that than quite a few protesters loudly agreed and charged toward Nathan and his group, intending to subdue and capture them.
However, how could they possibly be a match for Nathan and his group?
Chen Ning did not even have to lift a finger!
Colin, Ava, and the Elite Eight had already taken action together.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
All the protesters who rushed up were sent flying by Colin and the others.
This situation took everyone by surprise, causing a collective gasp to ripple through the crowd.
Lazlo frowned. “It looks like they've got some skills. No wonder they're so arrogant. Holy Knights, attack! Seize them!”
“Understood, Mr. Lazlo!”
Over a hundred Holy Knights unsheathed their swords, their killing intent surging as they charged toward Nathan and his companions.
With a cold snort, Nathan instructed Colin and the others, “Protect Mrs. Cross!”
With that, he dashed forward like a bolt of lightning to face the over a hundred Holy Knights.
Thump!
After kicking the foremost Holy Knight, Nathan immediately plunged into the sea of enemies like a tiger charging into a flock of sheep. His enemies fell before him, screaming in agony.
