Salute to the General novel Chapter 397

James Price entered the room after a short moment.

Nathan Cross and a few other officers from the Department of Justice entered with him as well.

James had lost his confidence from yesterday and seemed to have aged overnight.

He lowered his head and came up to Penny, apologizing weakly, "President Smith, it's good to see you. Yesterday, I've abused my power and purposely prevented your vaccine to pass the inspection. I even said many unpleasant things to you. I'm here today to apologize and ask for your forgiveness."

Penny's eyes widened in disbelief. "Oh."

She was a little taken aback by the sudden turn of events. Yesterday, James had announced that he would destroy Cross Group. Yet today he was here apologizing to her.

After the apology, the officers from the Department of Justice who were standing aside quickly came up to him.

One of them took out a document and said sternly, "James Price, you're under arrest for abusing your power and authority as the ODER'S vice-president, as well as your involvement in bribery and corruption. We have evidence of your crimes and we would like you to cooperate with us during the investigation."

Two others came up and put James in handcuffs. Then, they took him away under the surprised gazes of Penny and the rest.

Penny, Jenny and the rest were shocked at the sight.James Price is under arrest!

Penny couldn't help but think about what Nathan had said at noon earlier. Nathan had told her not to beg James and instead, James would be the one begging her for forgiveness.

She turned to size Nathan up before saying apprehensively, "Nathan, you did this to him, right? Come clean right now and tell me, how did you do it?"

Her face was filled with suspicion as she stared at Nathan.

She started to wonder whether Nathan was hiding a secret from her.

Otherwise, how could he solve every single problem that they came across? Moreover, everything he said would miraculously come true as if he was some kind of god.

Nathan smiled and said, "Okay, fine. I'm not going to hide this from you anymore. Actually, I'm the General of the three-hundred-thousand-men-strong North Army!"
