I focused my gaze on Theo and noted that his once calm expression had abruptly shifted. His brows were furrowed tight.
It seemed that Nibel was still caught onto a lifeline.
I then looked at everyone else. They were all surprised. Some of the shareholders also did not look very good.
"President Grant, you ought to explain this properly.”
"Yes. We trusted you for so many years. How could you do such a thing?”
There was a smug smile on Nibel’s face. He walked toward Theo with the document, pointed to the content inside, and smiled. "An embezzlement of 100 million of Grant Corporation's funds. What is the meaning of this, President Grant? Why don’t you explain it?”
Even when faced with such a question, Theo's expression only shifted for a moment before he once again regained his calm.
Nibel patted Theo's shoulder like someone who had a card up his sleeve.
A wisp of a smile tugged the corner of his lips. Theo moved Nibel's hand and looked at Keith who was at the side. "Tell Mr. Nibel what that 100 million was used for."
Keith nodded slightly and then displayed the information that had been prepared in advance in front of everyone on the large slide screen.
"This is the expansion plan for a factory that President Grant had gotten approved earlier. Construction began some time ago. The 100 million funds are being used for the expansion of the factory and are not private embezzlement.”
Nibel's eyes widened as he looked at Keith questioningly. "Keith, whose side are you on?”
"My superior has only been President Grant from the start. I only work for him,” Keith’s voice boomed.
