"In that case, I'll check it out myself." I thought of a plan after I understood Theo's train of thought.
Theo nodded and agreed. "It’ll be more appropriate for you to follow up with this since Sylvester would be less wary of you than me regardless. But with how you treated the Yards before…”
"It's okay. If he’s really dissatisfied with Silas, then everything will be easy." I already had an idea.
Theo smiled when he heard this. "Good."
Looking at him, Theo seemed to trust his father very much.
I was worried that Theo would be devastated if we found out that the truth was as Silas said.
Theo noticed my sudden laps in concentration and grabbed my hand. "What's wrong? You look off all of a sudden.”
I shook my head, not telling Theo what I had been thinking. "It's nothing. if we want to start with the Yards, we’ll still need to rely on your power."
"I’ll be happy to help with whatever I can.”
Theo replied without hesitation and that moved me. "Thank you, Theo."
"We’re husband and wife. There’s no need for that.” He touched my head, his eyes filled with tenderness.
The next day.
I showed up at Yard Group early in the morning.
"Hello, I'm looking for President Yard. Is he in?"
"Hello, do you have an appointment?"
"Nope." I shook my head.
The lady at the front desk looked at me and then said with a smile, “My apologies. I’ll need to ask President Yard if you haven’t made an appointment.”
