Chapter 275
Lizetta wasn’t about to just meekly follow Remington out the door. She immediately grabbed the armrest of her seat and started hollering for help.
“I’m not going! Help! I don’t know this guy!”
Twisting her head, she realized that even though the plane was packed, it was dead silent.
Everyone was rubbernecking their drama, but no one had the guts to step in
That was because night behind Remington stood the captain and the crew, along with a few black–clad bodyguards he’d brought along.
The captain had personally opened the door to let Remington in, which was a dead giveaway that he was bad news.
But Lizetta wasn’t one to back down from a fight, sure that there was always someone out there who didn’t bow to power.
She was about to cry for help again when the man leaned in and whispered in her ear.
“Have you forgotten about Yolanda and your brother?”
Remington was actually using Yolanda and Thaddeus as leverage.
Lizetta’s heart sank, and without thinking, her grip on the armrest loosened.
Remington scooped her up completely, looking pretty pleased with himself, he even nodded at the captain and crew.
“Thanks, folks.”
When Remington and his entourage had come aboard, the crew had been busy keeping passengers calm and stopping any rogue photographers.
Remington carried Lizetta swiftly towards the exit. Seeing there was no longer any chance of rescue, she stopped struggling and just hung her head, letting Remington take her away without a peep.
Remington looked down, her long hair fell in a cascade, and all he could see from his angle was the top of her head, which made her seem particularly docile.
Remington thought of the child they had on the way. His steps slowed, more measured and steady.
He tightened his arms, holding the woman in his embrace even closer, like she was his greatest treasure.
A strange, full emotion swelled in his chest, and the restlessness that had been troubling his heart felt like it was being filled with something heavy and satisfying.
Lizetta was carried off the plane to where a stretch Lincoln was waiting not too far away.
Remington walked over with steady steps, and the bodyguards immediately swung the car door open.
But Lizetta was still not ready to give up. She looked up from his embrace and glanced back at the plane within reach, grabbing hold of Remington’s tie.
“Remi, didn’t we agree? After a month of cooling off, we’d go get our divorce papers. And you had no objections to me going abroad. How can you go back on your word!”

Chapter 275
Remington looked down at her, her pale face framed with red–rimmed eyes, looking so pitiful it was as if she was about to cry.
When he had come after her, she was not only unhappy but downright upset and heartbroken.
“Do you really y want to leave me that badly? Remington asked with a sneer, barely hiding his disdain.
He didn’t seem to want to hear her reply and said in a deep voice. “Too bad, the ball’s not in your court!”
He bent down and put Lizetta in the car, then followed right in after her.
The car started moving quickly, and Lizetta sat on the long sofa seat, wanting nothing to do with being next to Remington.
She shifted to the side, creating a clear divide between them.
Remington, however, immediately followed suit, sprawling his long legs carelessly, his thigh muscles. pressing against Lizetta’s denim–clad ones.
Thankfully, the stretch vehicle had plenty of room, so Lizetta moved two more seats away to put even more space between them.
