Chapter 333
Yesterday, she hadn’t finished talking to him about studying abroad.
Remington stopped in his tracks when he heard this, then tumed around and walked back to Lizetta.
“Miss me that much? Alright, Ill head home early to keep you company. Just wait for me.”
He leaned down to plant a soft kiss on Lizetta’s forehead before turning to leave.
Cedric followed him to the elevator, where Remington scrutinized his reflection, then suddenly tumed back to give Cedric a piercing
look
Feeling puzzled under Remington’s gaze, Cedric saw his lips slightly lift
“Did you tie your
tie yourself?”
Cedric was taken aback.
Remington, with a picky glance, commented, “It’s a bit crooked, not quite sharp.”
With that, he turned and stepped into the elevator first.
Cedric hurried in after him, silently rolling his eyes.
If he wasn’t mistaken, Remington used to the his own ties too.
Inside the elevator, Cedric still checked his reflection on the metal surface.
Crooked?
Looked fine to him.
Nonetheless, Cedric adjusted it, though he was still irked by Remington’s way of flaunting his domestic bliss, especially since he had just gone through a breakup himself.
Body exploited by capitalists, and now his feelings
feelings too? Utterly inhumane.
So, Cedric mentioned to Remington, “Me Dashiell, when you left, I noticed Mrs. Dashiell didn’t seem very happy.”
Remington turned. “She was clearly delighted”
Cedric immediately responded, “Didn’t you notice how forced her smile was when you didn’t even glance at the breakfast she brought?”
Really?
Remington’s expression darkened slightly, he hadn’t noticed.
But it struck him that Lizetta did mention breakfast twice.
Seeing Remington deep in thought, Cedric added, “I think the breakfast might have been made by Mrs. Dashiell, you know. She got up early to prepare it and brought it all the way here, and you didn’t even look at it. She must have felt down.”
Before he could finish, he noticed Remington’s icy stare.
Startled, Cedric was about to say he was just guessing when Remington cut in
“Why
didn’t you say so earlier!”
Cedric was speechless. Was it his fault that Remington was clueless about his wife’s feelings?
Ignoring breakfast made by his wife, anyone could tell she’d be upset.
While Cedric was mentally complaining, he heard Remington ordering, “Later grab the meal box from the room, and, call up Bombardier, ask their sales manager to come over.”
Cedric was surprised: Bombardier was an international aerospace company. Remington’s Gulfstream G650 came from them. Planning to sell it after just two years?
But then it clicked. He asked, “Mr. Dashiell, are you buying a private jet for Mrs. Dashiell?”
Remington tumed back, “What else?”
Her desire to study abroad seemed strong a private jet would definitely come in handy.
From feeling sorry for Lizetto a moment ago. Cedric now felt like a complete joke!
Lizetta was tidying up Remington’s things left in the room, knowing someone would handle the discharge process.
Just as she was about to leave with the lunchbox, Cedric came back in..
“Did Remi forget something?” Lizetta was surprised.
