Chapter 341
Lizetta stored at her phone semen, a tumult of emotions swirling in her eyes.
Wasn’t he supposed to be with Stella?
Why was he calling her now?
“Aren’t you gonna pick up? It’s your husband, though who knows for how long more. Maybe he’s calling to break things off, introduce you to his childhood sweetheart. Just imagine that scene, it’s hilarious”
Evelina, siting across from her, saw the caller ID too and covered her mouth to stifle a laugh.
Seeing Lizetta frozen in place, not picking up, Evelina stood up. “Are you scared to answer? Let me help you out”
She reached out for the phone.
Lizetta snatched the phone away and pressed it off, then grabbed the coffee mug from the table and splashed its contents toward
Evelina.
Evelina screamed, her face and hair drenched in coffee, looking utterly disheveled.
She frantically grabbed some napkins to wipe herself, glaring at Lizella with venom. “Lizetta, have you lost your mind?”
Lizetta had been itching to shut Evelina up for a while. She picked up her bag, stood up, and looked down on Evelina coldly, “You asked for it walking right into it with your nasty attitude”
Evelina sneered, “I was just trying to do you a favor, letting you know you’re being played. Don’t shoot the messenger! Why don’t you confront Stella if you’ve got the guts, huh, Lizetta? Do you dare?
Lizetta scoffed lightly, “Oh, I’m really grateful for your concern. Rest assured, I’ll be checking out every word you’ve said.”
With that, Lizetta turned and walked away.

She chuckled to herself, but the next moment, the sticky coffee began to imitate her eyes, making them impossible to open.
Cursing, she yelled for a waiter to come help.
Lizetta stormed out of the cafe, her facade of calm shattering instantly.
It felt as if her whole world was crumbling down, piece by piece, into something unrecognizable.
Memories that were once precious, , warm, and sweet, now felt like sugar–coated blades, tormenting her
She quickened her pace as if chased by demons
Only the sharp blare of a car hom snapped her back to reality.
She turned just as a car screeched to a halt in front of her.
Realizing she had wandered into the street, her legs gave out, and she collapsed to the ground.
A sharp pain followed in her abdomen.
Lizetta’s face turned pale as she clutched her belly. “Joy, Joy can’t be in trouble!”
Inside the car.
“What the hell? Jerome, are you okay? Did you hit her?”
Hamilton, wearing a baseball cap, leaned forward from the back seat, addressing the driver.
“Damn, she’s not getting up. Did I really hit her? Il check.”
He tried to open the door, but it wouldn’t budge.
