Sold To A Billionaire novel Chapter 17

Helios never thought that he would fall in love with Zoe. He’s been watching her from afar for two years.
Icarus, his twin brother, took her virginity—it was clear to him that it was Icarus, not him. But he lied to her.
He stopped Icarus from doing it, but his brother just ignored him. And he can’t do anything about it. Besides, he saw how Zoe seemed to like it too.
Until…
It was three at dawn, and he was on the bar counter still drinking his beer when Icarus suddenly rushed outside. He was confused and followed his twin but ended up watching Icarus’s Lamborghini away from his bar.
And the afternoon of that day, he received a phone call from his father that they found Icarus’s dead body.
Unlike him, Icarus deals with fights. He got enemies. He was their father’s right hand; after all, he was the next heir to his throne, while Orion Helios was just meant to deal with their business success.
He didn’t mean to lie to Zoe that night when he unexpectedly saw her inside his bar. But something is urging him to use that thing.
About the tattoo… he doesn’t have one.
When Icarus died, there was a part of him went missing. Maybe it’s the guilt that he’s not on good terms with him. They’re talking but only for business, not as brothers.
Orion loves his twin, and in honor of it, he wears Icarus’s tattoo on his arm, precisely the place where Icarus’s tattoo was.
And when days passed by, he felt guilty about the innocent woman Icarus claimed. Thus, he seeks information for her, watches over her, and even offers her a scholarship.
He wouldn’t expect that when he met her again, a spark woke his body, and the next thing he knew, he was in love with her.
He smiled when Zoe moved closer to him, buried his face, and even hugged him in the waist.
He was sure that she was tired after they had done it thrice last night. He lifted his chin to stare at her face and smiled. Then suddenly, a thought came across his mind.
What if Zoe finds out about it? That he was not his first? He’s still Helios but his Orion, not Icarus.
Will she hate him? How bad is it?
His Nana Milky knows about it and even reminds him to tell the truth, but he chooses not to. However, if he prolongs it, and Zoe will hear from someone else, then the worst thing might be done on his side.
And he won’t let that happen.
He heaved a deep sigh and let go of her slowly, afraid that he might wake her up. He grabbed a towel, walked toward the bathroom, and took a quick shower.
ZOE frowned when she felt a slight pain in her between so as her limbs. She then slowly opened her eyes and sighed.
Under the comfy comforter, she’s naked. She looked in the direction of the bathroom and heard splashes.
She smiled when she remembered what had happened to them last night.
Guess her mom is right. She’s just in denial. She likes him, and he knows it.
A few minutes later, the bathroom door opened, and she saw Helios half-naked.
“Hi,” she greeted with a smile.
Helios then walked toward her while drying his hair with a towel.
“You have work?” she asked.
Helios nodded as he pulled a chair and sat beside the bed. “How about you?”
Zoe bit her lower lip. “Hmm… about the position you—”
“It’s still vacant, not until you fill in,” he interrupted and winked at her, making Zoe blush.
“T-Thank you. And I’m sorry for what happened the other day,” she said as she sat up and leaned on the headboard.
Helios nodded. “I understand. And I decided to pursue you. Let’s go on dates,” he said, making my eyes widen, filled with a tint of surprise.
“A-Are you serious about—”
“I understand your reason. You still don’t love me, but you like me….”
The way he said it in his deep yet calm voice, Zoe couldn’t help but blush. She could feel the blood rushing towards her cheeks.
“You will court—”
“Yes, if that’s what they called. I’m sorry, but I don’t have any experience with dates nor women.”
Zoe frowned. “Are you for real? Rich people normalize dates with other heiresses. And even engaged in arranged marriages. Why you?”
Helios smirked. “I’m different, and I need to tell you something too.”
“Tell what?”
“You’ll know about it after dinner. Please don’t hate me,” he said, his voice being more of a beg.
Zoe was baffled. It seems like something is bothering him. She was about to ask about it when Helios’s phone rang, and he did pick it up above the bedside table.
Helios gestured his hand to answer the phone call, and she nodded. He walked towards the window.
“Dad…”
Zoe’s gaze turned back to him, but she could only see his back.
“What time? No, I will bring someone—yes. Just don’t—I know. I know…”
She shook her head as she didn’t have any idea about their conversations. She removed the comforter covering her body and climbed off the bed.
She walked towards the cabinet and grabbed a robe before she went inside the bathroom. She walked toward the mirror and stared at her reflection.
She sighed when she saw hickeys surrounding her nipples and even a hickey in her navel. Good thing Helios didn’t give one on the part of her neck.
She smiled and shook her head. She couldn’t believe that she would finally experience the so-called drama of life.
When she’s studying, she promises not to have a boyfriend or do sex, or date, someone if she’s not financially stable. However, when she met Helios, her promises to herself were torn to pieces.
Zoe sighed and started to take a warm shower and covered her body with the robe before she stepped out of the bathroom.
Soon as she got out, she saw Helios standing near the bed while fixing his tie.
She hemmed to clear her throat, and when their eyes met, she smiled. “Can I go back to work tomorrow? I’m sorry. I know you’re my boss—”
“Of course. You don’t have to apologize. Anyway, I will call Nana and accompany you to the boutique to buy a dress.”
Zoe frowned. “Huh?”
“Dad invited me for dinner, and I will bring you,” he said, making Zoe shake her head and decline it right away.
“You don’t have to bring me—”
“Dad says so,” he added.
There’s no way that Zoe will share a meal with a devil.
“Don’t be afraid of him. It’s not that he can touch you,” he said. As if he’s assuring Zoe that she will not get harmed.
Helios walked closer to her and snaked his right palm into her cheek, and caressed it, making her close her eyes for a moment. “You’re with me,” he said and lifted her chin, and when she met his gaze, he gave her an assurance, “I will keep you safe.”
