Sold To A Billionaire novel Chapter 46

“YOU’RE lying to me, Grant,” It was Helios’s chilly voice that roared inside Grant’s office.
Grant, who was surprised, suddenly stood up. “W-What are you doing—”
“So, you found her?”
Grant frowned and was a little bit baffled. “What do you mean?”
Helios let out a soft chuckle. It’s been so hard for him to know that Zoe is just a little bit far away from him and the worst thing was, his cousin found her, but he didn’t even tell him.
“What’s your purpose? Why?” Helios walked towards Grant’s table and slammed his desk.
Grant raised his hands. “Calm down, and let’s talk—”
“Shut up!” Helios moved closer to Grant and pierced his glare at him. “You knew I hate it when someone is toying at me. You know me, Grant. I trusted you because—”
“I… I was supposed to tell you about it, but Zoe begged—”
“Zoe?”
Grant could see the pain in Helios’s eyes. He felt pity at the same time, scared.
“What about her?”
Grant took a deep breath and sighed. “She begged me not to tell you about it. I made a promise for her—”
“You knew that I am looking for her—”
“I know,” Grant cut off. “If only you could see her at that moment, where she told me not to—”
“You should have told everything to me, Grant. Now that I know where she is, no one can stop me from getting her.”
Grant’s eyes widened. He dislikes Helios’s term. “Let’s talk, Helios. You need to—”
“Shut up, Grant. I will not believe in your—”
“I convinced her to talk to you. So as Cindy…”
“Cindy?”
“Her friend. And I know Zoe wants that. Just don’t do reckless things at this moment, Helios. I promise I will make it up to you.”
Helios darted his eyes at him.
“I swear. I will help you. But first, you have to clear the obstacles in front of you. Call off the engagement and accept first the title. Once your father gives you the title, he can’t do anything because he no longer has the power. Think about it, Helios. Don’t rush things,” Grant said without any pause.
Grant’s hands are trembling while looking at Helios, but hopefully, Helios will hear him.
“How is she?”
“You haven’t seen—”
“If I see her, am I asking this question?”
Grant pressed his lower lip and nodded. “She’s fine. She’s working at her aunt’s café, and her mom is working in my hotel.”
Helios didn’t make any expression, but Grant knew that he was happy deep within.
“How about—”
“Boys? Men? Don’t worry. You occupied her mind and heart,” Grant said, making Helios frown.
“Are you making fun—”
“Nope. I am telling the truth. You two are a victim of—”
“Shut up, Grant. Be grateful that I didn’t kill you.”
Grant let out a soft chuckle, even though his heart thumped fast because of fear. “I know you can’t. No matter how monstrous you are, you can’t kill—”
“That’s if you’re loyal to me, but you’re not.”
Grant’s forehead knitted. “It was because Zoe told me not to—”
“So, Zoe’s command is more important than mine?”
Grant’s jaw dropped.
‘Unbelievable,’ he thought.
“If only you saw how she—” Grant halted when Helios turned his back away from him.
‘What a jerk,’ he thought.
“Just a reminder, Helios. Don’t rush things. You have to get the throne first before you get your queen,” Grant said until Helios’s aura disappeared.
Grant walked towards his chair and sat. He closed his eyes as he leaned on his chair.
He cursed inside his mind a couple of times.
He was hoping that Helios would hear him. If not, he’s afraid about what will happen. His uncle is not a soft-hearted person. ‘
If Helios has control, that old man hasn’t.
INSIDE the bar, Zoe and Cindy are having a good time watching those people who are dancing on the dance floor. Cindy was shouting and laughing out loud.
“Geez, why don’t we try—”
“You can go all by yourself,” Zoe interrupted as she drank the last bottle that they had. When she was done, she stood up, making Cindy look at her.
“Where are you going?”
“Home. And I’m tired,” Zoe replied.
Cindy snorted and pouted her lips. “I will order more drinks,” she said, but Zoe shook her head.
“We have work tomorrow, and I think I’m already tipsy.”
Right after Zoe said that Cindy burst into laughter. “Girl… you only drank two beers, and you’re tipsy? Are you kidding me?” she asked.
Zoe pressed her lips and sighed. “You can stay if you want to,” she said.
Cindy arched her brow. “You asked me to come here, and now you’re the one—”
“Exactly, I asked you, so I will also ask you to go home. But if you want to stay, then you can, simple as that.”
Cindy rolled her eyes and pouted her lips. “Killjoy.” She stood up and grabbed her bag. “Let’s go then.”
Zoe sighed and shook her head. After that, they walked to the crowd until they reached the exit. She got a cab and assisted Cindy in getting inside.
Cindy pushed her away. “I can manage.”
Zoe laughed and shook her head as she got inside. She told the cab driver the address, and after a few minutes, they arrived. She helped Cindy first until they got inside her room before she went down and went to their apartment.
When she got there, the lights were already switched off, which meant to say, her mom and aunt were already home and got to bed.
She just took a quick shower before she climbed on the bed.
She tried to close her eyes, but darkness won’t fill in. She then stared at the ceiling, took a deep breath, and then sighed to remove her heart’s heaviness.
She has no phone and doesn’t even know Helios’s contact number. She will admit to herself that she misses him—she misses him so badly.
She was weighing her time and when will he talk to him.
Cindy has a point.
Why would she be afraid to take a risk?
