ZOE couldn’t help herself but cry while they boarded the twin’s plane. She even uses two boxes of tissue.
Grant was sitting beside her and was trying to console her. But Zoe didn’t even bother to talk to him. She just keeps on shooting death and glares at him.
“Zoe… you can ask me—”
“For what? To hurt me even more?”
Grant took a deep breath and sighed. “For at least you will know what will be his reason.”
Zoe wiped her tears. “No. I will not ask anything—”
“Shut up, crying baby. Aren’t you wanted to ask about it earlier?” it was Gun, who was sitting on the other side of the place.
Grant arched his brow and gritted his teeth as he pierced his gaze on his brother.
“Who are you? I don’t even know you. Why are you talking to me?”
Gun scoffed. “You are talking to me too. In case you have a hearing defect, I am Gun. Grant’s twin brother,” he said and formed a sly smirk on his lips.
Zoe rolled her eyes and glared at Grant.
Grant was moved, making his body tense in coldness. “I… I can explain about Gun—”
“I don’t want to know more about him,” Zoe cut off the hum of Grant’s words. “I want to sleep,” she added as she pulled down the eye mask and covered herself with the blanket.
Grant sighed and pierced his gaze towards Gun.
Gun smirked and shrugged his shoulder.
“Can’t you be more friendly—”
“Gentleness is not in my vocabulary, Grant. You know me.”
Grant scoffed. “Really?” he stood up and walked towards Gun and sat on the opposite side, “…let’s see. If I know you like her, right?”
Gun laughed. “No way.”
“Why would you present yourself to pick her up and save her?”
“Helios owned her. I’m not that kind of person, Grant,” Gun replied.
Grant let out a soft chuckle.
“Oh, wait…” Gun called his attention, “I think it was you… who liked her,” he said and pointed to Zoe.
Grant frowned. “Never. My informant is prettier than her—”
“One more word from the two of you, I will fucking kill you,” it was Zoe.
The two then looked at her. Zoe was still in her position. Eye masks were on and were covered with a blanket.
“I thought you were already asleep,” Grant uttered.
Zoe removed her mask and glared at Grant. “Only a few seconds passed, and you think I can sleep that fast? Knowing that your Lincoln family dragged me into huge trouble?”
Gun grinned. “You dragged yourself into this. Don’t play safely, Ms. Levine,” Gun uttered.
Zoe clenched her jaw and glared at him. “If only your family is not that picky, then things would be better. But all of you involved with those demonic actions—”
“Woah… Woah… you’re doing it below the belt, Ms. Levine,” Gun asserted. “If only you cut ties with Helios—”
“Are you blaming me?!” Zoe yelled as she sat straight and pierced her eyes towards Gun.
Grant slammed Gun’s chest, making the man cough and curse.
“Fuck!”
“Watch your words, Gunner,” Grant warned.
Zoe’s forehead knitted. “Could you please find a place where you can’t disturb me?”
Grant and Gun looked at her, frowning.
“We’re in a small—”
“She’s pregnant, Gun. Be gentle. She needs to rest,” Grant said.
Gun didn’t respond. He crossed his arms in front of his chest and leaned backward as he closed his eyes.
Zoe rolled her eyes and got back to her position. She wore her eye mask again and tried her best to take a nap. If she continues to cry, it will affect her baby’s health. She can’t risk it.
However, no matter how hard she tries to let those thoughts away, it still remains inside her head and keeps on bugging her.
She lifted her mask and looked in Grant’s direction.
Grant, who was looking at her, frowned. “What?”
“Does your phone has music?”
“Yes, why?”
“Do you have a headset—”
“You want to listen to music?” Grant interrupted.
Zoe sighed and nodded. “I can’t sleep. I don’t have a phone, and…” she paused when Gun opened his eyes and gazed at her.
“Helios has lots of money, and he can’t even buy you a new phone?”
Zoe frowned and didn’t bother to answer Gun. She looked at Grant again. “Do you have or—”
“I do. Wait here. I will get my backpack. I put it on the other—”
“Just go and get it. You don’t have to explain, idiot,” Gun asserted.
