Sold To A Billionaire novel Chapter 94

AFTER DINNER, Zoe and her daughter went to her room, and Helios followed them. She then told the man to watch over her daughter as she took a shower. The man agreed, and he played with her daughter while waiting for her.
“Da-da,” said the little girl, and Helios smiled.
“Can you say it one more time, sweetie?” asked Helios tenderly.
The little girl giggled and tried to reach Helios’s face. Helios then moves closer to her daughter. “Da-da!”
Helios laughed. He took the child out of her crib and lifted it. He kissed the child on the cheek, and the child imitated what he did, which made him even happier.
The scene was melting Zoe’s heart. She had just come out of the bathroom and was wearing her nightgown.
“You seem to have fun?” she said.
Helios turned around and faced her. At the same time, her daughter is leaning on the man’s shoulder.
“I think her first word is da-da,” he said.
Zoe smiled. “Yes, and it’s kind of frustrating. I was the one who carried her for nine months… took care of her,… breastfeeding her. Then when she saw you, she said her first word, which is da-da. Isn’t it a little bit unfair?” she asked. She took the blower to her vanity table and plugged it in. She stood in front of the mirror and started to dry her hair.
On the other hand, Helios continued to hold the child, and he swayed to make her sleep. “Because she knows he’s daddy. Just wait for her to call you, mommy,” he said and laughed.
“Yeah, whatever,” she replied and finished drying her hair. “I guess she’s already asleep,” she said when she peeked at her child. “You can put her in the crib.”
“She’s not sleeping beside you?” he asked.
“No. She’s been in the crib ever since she came out into this world. And their crib was next to me. It was what most western people usually do to their kids. Unlike here that we must sleep beside them. She will not wake up every hour if she's full, unlike when she was just a newborn. Usually, she woke up every hour just to drink breastmilk. When she was three months old, she woke up every four hours. And it depends too when she’s not feeling well, or she’s been irritated with the noise—she’ll wake up unpredictably.
Helios nodded. He likes to hear more about her daughter.
“Nowadays, she’s not getting handy, unlike before. I let her eat mashed, mixed veggies, eggs, rice, soft bread… fruits. I love giving her organic foods.”
“Are you getting tired, too?” he asked.
“Yes. But when you see the smile fluster on your daughter’s face, and you know that she’s growing healthy, all the exhausting thing fades away,” she replied and smiled.
Helios nodded and walked over to the child’s crib. He slowly laid the little girl on it. And he successfully did it. He tapped the child’s legs until Hela Selene was in a deep sleep.
“Are you going home already?” asked Zoe.
Helios turned to her and walked closer. He sat on the end of her bed. “It’s up to you if you don’t want me to go home. I can—”
“Hey. Don’t assume things. But if you don’t want to go home, you’re free to sleep in the guestroom,” she said.
Helios smirked. “What if I want to stay here, but I won’t be sleeping in the living room, and just sleep here,” he said and tapped her bed.
Zoe’s eyes widened, “Hey, fucking—”
“Language, woman.”
“Are you stupid? Just go home, will you? Tomorrow is Saturday. You can stay here until dinner if you’re not busy,” she said and looked away.
The room was bright, and she couldn’t stand seeing the handsome face of Helios.
Damn!
She might not control herself and threw herself into the man’s lap.
“Are you feeling unease?” He stood up and walked closer to her.
She crossed her arms over her chest. “Don’t come closer!” she threatened, but it just made the man grin even more.
“Are you still affected by my presence?”
“What are you talking about?” she picked up the flower vase on the side table. “Don’t you dare come near me! Are you going to steal a kiss again?”
Helios stopped and laughed, and he even held his abdomen.
“Damn it! Go home now!” she said irritatingly.
“Shh… you might wake up our daughter.”
Our daughter… that echoed inside her mind. It’s so pleasing in the ears. She touched her cheeks because they seemed to heat up.
“Woah, it’s already nighttime, yet I can clearly see your red cheeks,” said Helios, teasingly.
“Stupid. It’s because the room was bright. What now? Are you going out, or I will drag you out of this room?”
“I haven’t stolen what I wanted,” he said and smirked.
Zoe pretended to throw the vase in her grip. “Jerk. Out!”
“I hate what we’re coming out of your mouth. You’re not like that.”
“And I hate your voice!” she looked up because the man was already towering over her. She couldn’t resist when the man took the vase out of her grip. Helios held her shoulder and lowered his face.
“You’re still beautiful as ever. But I don’t like some shits coming from your mouth, throughout your sexy lips. You need to be punished.” He moved his face closer to her until their faces were an inch apart.
She can’t help herself but close her eyes the moment his breath touches her face. The smell of mint envelops her nose, and it gives chills to her body. Just like in old times, Helios still has that effect on her body. She’s waiting for the demon’s kiss. Yes, she’s ready for a kiss again. She will not refuse.
She’s just pretending that she doesn’t like to be kissed by Helios, but deep inside, she’s expecting that it will happen. Flirtatious as it may sound but hell, who is she going to lie for? Herself?
But a few seconds later, there were still no warm lips touching her cold lips.
She opens her eyes instantly when Helios loosens his grip on her shoulders. The grin on his face burst in her eyes.
“See you tomorrow, baby,” he said and gave a peck on her forehead. He turned around and walked out of her room.
She was left dumbfounded.
