Sabrina couldn't help but to feel confused. "Director Shaw, what is..."
Marcus casted a reassuring smile at Sabrina. "Don't worry, Sabrina. What I'm about to show you will surely bring you comfort."
It would bring her comfort? Had they located Jane? Or perhaps her brother Zayn had returned? With a heart filled with anticipation, Sabrina refrained from asking questions and allowed Marcus to drive towards their destination.
Approximately half an hour later, the car had driven off the city area and into a quiet remote land. Just as Sabrina felt even more confused than she had already been, Marcus made a turn and stopped the car. She looked out the window and saw an establishment with high walls, with the words "Inmate Medical Treatment Centre” written outside. She froze and looked over to Marcus.
"That's right, they are serving their sentences!"
"She...isn't dead?" she asked. For the past month, Sabrina had been far too busy to pay attention to what happened to her nemesis. In her mind, the ones that were alive, her family and friends, were much more important than those she resented.
"Come in and see for yourself," Marcus said.
Sabrina nodded, before following Marcus into the establishment. The supervision center was enormous but extremely quiet on the inside. Most of the patients were terminally ill, with some passing away after spending a period of time here. Sabrina strolled past the deadly silent trail covered with ivy and felt her stomach sink along the way.
"This place is kind of like..." She looked at Marcus and whispered, "...like an asylum."
"Something along that line." He chuckled.
The two moved forward for about five minutes, making multiple turns before they arrived at a remote ward. That was when Sabrina heard a voice of a ghostlike figure that sounded like the wailing of spirits that haunted the night.
"Doctor, I want to know something. Why...why am I not dead?"
