She would tremble in fear even if it was just a live prawn in front of her. However, she knew that he loved sauteed shrimp with broccoli and knew how picky he was. Worried that restaurants out there might not pick the intestines out of the shrimps before cooking with it or that they might use frozen ones, she went to the marketplace herself to pick out the meatiest shrimps there were. She bought them alive and cleaned the intestines out of them one after another while suppressing the boundless fear she felt the entire time. She had done plenty of selfless acts like that for him in the past, so how could she not love him?
The others won't ever hear it, but Alex heard Jane saying "I love you, Alex" so many times that in the end, he felt that it was just normal to hear it.
The reason why he didn't think of it as something important was because she would always insist, "don't feel burdened, Alex, it's okay if you don't love me. I am and always will be a maid you keep around the house."
He did treat her as a maid, the kind that could do almost everything, who looked elegant outside his house and bold in the bed. A perfect maid.
Alex left dazedly from where Sabrina worked without turning back, even when Sabrina shouted behind him, "Mr. Poole...Mr. Poole, are you alright?"
There was no reply.
That night, Sabrina went home and told her husband about what happened. To her surprise, Sebastian tried to convince Sabrina., "You know the number Jane called you with, right, Sabrina? Give it to Alex, otherwise he would be ruined for life."
"But if I give it to him, Jane's peaceful life would be interrupted. It's not easy for her to finally find peace, you know?"
"I've spoken to Alex today and told him not to force Jane into coming back if she doesn't want to. It was him who chased her away to begin with, after all. Just give him her contact so that they can sort it out once and for all."
Sabrina thought about it. "Very well! Let him have a taste of what it's like to be late to chase after someone!

She gave Sebastian Jane's number and he sent it over t o Alex. Upon receiving it, Alex went straight towards the North-East direction without even changing his clothes as though he had lost his mind.
A day later, he drove towards the location where the call had been made and found out that it was a graveyard.
'Jesus!' he thought. He gazed upon the place from the bottom of the mountain and saw tombs and graves all over it. His blood ran cold as he laughed at himself in his mind. "That little woman, she’s so sly!"
Meanwhile, Sabrina was feeling uneasy as well. She didn't know whether giving Alex the number was the right thing to do, she had no idea if he would force Jane and her man apart before dragging her back once he found her. Sabrina couldn't bear to think of it.
"Don't worry, Alex wouldn't! I promise that I'll serve his head on a silver plate to you if he dares to do that. But if Jane comes back with him willingly, that's a different case," Sebastian promised.
Sabrina felt slightly reassured, but still, she couldn't sleep well that night. The next morning, she woke up early. After getting dressed and washing up, she went t o the living room and heard someone knocking on the door. She hesitated for a moment, and went to open the door. As soon as she did, she saw a figure in black curled up next to the door.
"Ah...!" she screamed.
