The couple, the neighbors, prepared noodles as breakfast for Hana. Many other neighbors also came t o visit Hana. They all persuaded her that she must stay alive. The day her daughter would acknowledge her would come. They warmed Hana's heart quite a bit and also gave her the hope to keep on living. Since then, Hana had stayed in South City. In the following four years, she rented and stayed at a house near Tessa's college. After that, she got four jobs nearby as well, and she was able to make eight thousand dollars a month. She had saved five thousand dollars of that for Tessa.
Later on, Tessa graduated from college and got into the Ford Group as an intern. After Tessa’s work became stable, only then did Hana move away. However, she would still appear in front of her daughter once in a while just for the sake of taking a few more glances at her daughter, even if Hana had to walk away without saying anything after just a glance.
However, Hana’s wish and hope was a kind of nightmare that Tessa could get rid of. At first, Tessa would chase Hana away. Later on, she started to curse at Hana, and then the cursing became more and more intense. Following that, as long as Tessa saw Hana, she would curse Hana to go to hell every time. Sometimes she also would warn Hana that she wanted to call the police! However, even so, Hana had
never backed down. She still went to see her daughter from time to time.
The villagers felt that Hana was truly too aggrieved. All of them hoped to help Hana by being the peacemaker and clearly tell Tessa the truth, but Hana was afraid it would be a huge blow for Tessa.
Therefore, Hana never agreed. This only made Tessa more and more aggressive towards Hana. It was not until when Tessa slapped her own mother twice in front of so many people and even cursed her own mother to be a sl*t and b*tch that she had truly completely broken Hana's heart. Perhaps it was because Hana was emotionally exhausted after holding on for too long? Perhaps it was because Tessa was already an adult and Hana felt that she should be able to bear everything? However, Hector and Hana were not used to it.
After Hana had left on the day that Tessa slapped Hana twice, Hector egged Tessa on once again that she must not let Hana off the hook. He told Tessa that Hana was a woman with no limit and she certainly would snatch away Tessa's rich boyfriend. Tessa believed her father's words and she had witnessed that Hana indeed had snatched Zayn away. Therefore, the hate Tessa had for Hana in her heart was stronger than ever.
However, what Tessa did not expect was that among the guests who attended Hana’s wedding, the neighbors from the village that she had once lived in when she was a child would actually be there. It was very clear that these neighbors had a good relationship with Hana. Just like the moment when Tessa stood in the village that she had not been to for more than a decade and looked at the old woman in tears recalling the past of Hana and Hector's family of three. The truth that came out of these villagers' mouths was the complete opposite of what Hector had told her since she was a child. At that moment, Tessa was stupefied. She was so stunned that she could not say a single word. 1
The old woman looked at Tessa after she was done recalling the incident. "The clothes that you wore, the money for your school, for raising you, the store that your dad is running now, as well as all the expenses in your house were paid with your mom's hard-earned money. Your dad is just a gambling addict! You and your dad should be d*mned! D*mned!” Tessa shuddered and was speechless.
