Footsteps echoed through the corridor as Sabrina spoke. Puzzled, she immediately put the tasks in hand aside and went out to the entrance of the Design Department office. The operation vice-director, the administration manager, the sales manager and all other members of the high management were gathering hurriedly towards them.
"What's going on?" Madeline, the woman who attempted to give Green Mountain Coffee to Sabrina a s a gift, gazed out curiously and was instantly stunned by the appearance of the man standing by the door.
Sabrina was already standing in front of the man by then. She peeped around before whispering, "What... what are you doing here? Why are you here in my office? You-"
"Is this your company?" Sebastian interrupted calmly with an emotionless voice.
"...No."
"Well, then, why can't I be here?" he asked, "there are plenty of reasons I have to be here. The Ford Group is the client of this architectural design firm. As your client, it's completely normal for me to be here for a tour!"
Sabrina was dumbfounded.
Behind them, a crowd of managers were bowing
submissively at the man.
"Master Sebastian, to...to what do we owe the pleasure of your visit?" The Human Resources Director asked gingerly, drenched in sweat. For the love of God, the King of the entire South City was standing in front of him. The man behind Ford Group, the largest enterprise of South City, the man who could take lives without lifting a single finger, was now gracing a small architectural design firm with his presence? The Human Resource Director simply couldn't think o f what could possibly be the reason for Master Sebastian's visit? The confusion and fear of the unknown had him sweating his guts out.
"Master Sebastian, we did not expect a man with such a busy schedule as you to come here. Please, allow us t o lead the way to the VIP room. We have the finest tea and sofa there prepared for you. Is there anything you need? If you wish to inspect the financial reports, our Finance Department will serve you. If you wish to look around instead, we can follow..." The Operation ViceDirector offered deferentially.
"There's no need for that." Sebastian dismissed, his gaze never leaving Sabrina's face. It hadn't been over two hours since he dropped her off to work, how busy could she be for her adorably small nose to be covered in sweat?
"Why are you this busy?" Sebastian reached into the inner pocket of his jacket and pulled out a handkerchief, before starting to wipe the sweat off Sabrina's nose gently.
Everyone at the scene, Sabrina included, was rendered speechless. A figure stood frozen in shock as well, not far from them. It was, indeed, Selene. 1
Selene proceeded with the procedures for the old Master Shaw to be discharged from the hospital yesterday early in the morning. However, halfway through the process, Marcus returned to the hospital. Marcus instantly realized the reason for the old Master Shaw to rush through the procedures.
He couldn't forbid his grandfather from leaving the hospital, so he settled with the only choice he had, which was to arrange a full-body check for the old man in the Veteran Hospital before he was discharged. The check-up was performed and completed at three in the afternoon. That night at seven, they were already on the flight flying from Kidon City to South City. By the time they landed, it had already been late into the night. Selene stayed with her grandfather for a night and the driver drove her back to her own home the next morning. 1
The first sight that greeted her was Jade laying with bruises all over her face, sprawled across on the bed with her legs spread wide open without wearing any pants.
