Sabrina thought it might be from Nigel and as expected, it was Nigel. There was a hint of sorrow in his gentle voice. "Sabrina, it's me, Nigel."
"I know it’s you!” Sabrina was still furious.
"Are you angry at me, Sabrina?" Nigel asked.
"Master Connor, actually I shouldn’t be saying this, because I'm the reason you went to Star Island, but do you know you’re not helping me at all?" The longer she talked, the more her fury grew.
Seated beside her, Aino had her arms around her mother's bag, looking after it. She raised her head to look at Sabrina. "Mommy, who are you arguing with? Did anyone bully you? If they did, tell me, I'll go and beat her up for sure!"
Even though they had returned to Sebastian's side for more than six months, Aino still rushed to defend her mother at the sign of any threat. The little girl loved her mother deeply. At the sight of this, even Jane felt sorry for the child. She hugged Aino. "Sabbie, lower your volume. No matter what happens, take it slow, don't get mad. You'll scare the child."
Sarina looked at Jane gratefully, placed her hand over the mouthpiece and said to Jane and her other close friends, "Can the three of you bring Aino over to one of the internet-famous restaurants over there please? I'll
come after I end this call.”
The three women nodded understanding^. They led Aino to the floor where all the restaurants were located.
Only then did Sabrina say into the phone, "Master Connor, because of your little trip to Star Island, your parents came to see Sebastian.”
Nigel immediately tried to explain himself over the phone. "Sabrina, I came to Star Island out of my own volition, it has nothing to do with you. You didn't urge me to go, I did it voluntarily!"
"I know! But do your parents think that way? They think I casted some spell on you to make you obey my every command and then ordered you to risk your life for me and go to Star Island to fight my battles! But I didn't do anything like this at all!” Sabrina said, feeling wronged and angry at the same time. All these years, the misunderstanding the people of South City held for her placed a huge amount of stress on her shoulders. One day, she might explode.
