"Yeah, it's a done deal, my brother made a point of putting us in the same class. The three of us will be classmates again." Jade came to Havenbrook for the first time and felt uneasy in this strange place.
Luckily, she bumped into two of her best friends right after enrollment. One was the cheerful Mia and the other was the sunny and good-looking Leo.
Their enthusiasm made her quickly adapt to this new environment, and they also became an inseparable trio in the eyes of classmates. She thought they would part ways when they went off to college, but just a year later, they were back together.
"What? Leo and I are in the same class? So Leo's gonna be my classmate again?"
This thought made her super stoked!
Mia was so excited that she didn't notice the man on the couch, whose face gradually darkening.
Andre had heard her clearly.
She had transferred to the business school just to be in the same major as Leo.
And she was this thrilled about being in the same class as Leo?
Were there still some lingering feelings between her and Leo? This gave Andre a headache.
The kiss they just shared felt like a slap in the face.
He took a deep breath, watching his wife by the window, giggling and chatting on the phone.
It wasn't until she ended the call that Mia put the phone down and turned to catch her husband's eyes.
Her mind flashed back to the passionate kiss she had just had. Biting her lip, Mia remained silent, moving slowly towards the bed, and then dashed out of the room, leaving Andre behind.
She ran out the door to find Leo.
Andre could guess that she was going to share the good news with Leo.
He bit his lip hard, sitting on the couch deep in thought about his next move.
Moving out! That's the quickest solution Andre could think of.
He needed to prevent them from meeting, and he would also pressure the school not to allow Mia to change majors.
Given enough time, their feelings for each other would naturally fade.
But if they spent a lot of time together, there was no telling how their relationship would evolve, given that they were just impulsive twenty-something students. As young people, they acted impulsively, recklessly, for the pleasure of it all, and Andre might snuff it out before it all began. He decided, then he got up to take a shower.
In Leo's bedroom.
When Mia showed up, he was lying on his bed. Seeing her, he quickly sat up, asking eagerly, "So, did it work?"
"It worked." Mia clapped her hands cheerfully.
Leo made a victory gesture, "Awesome! Latin dance is so damn hard, I'm beat after practicing all day."
Mia paused, "I mean, it worked for me, not for you."
Leo looked puzzled, "What do you mean?"
Mia gave him the "big news", "I changed my major."
"And then what?"
"Business school, sophomore class three."
Leo smiled, "So you're saying I can't shake you off, right?"
Mia laughed, lightly patting Leo's shoulder, "I'll keep helping you, after all, we're family."
Leo retorted loudly, "No way! Mia, you're too much. I've been helping you for ten years, and you want me to help you for three more years?"
Mia giggled, "Well, if we've already done it for ten years, what's another three?"
Mia was very pleased with Leo's reaction. She hummed a happy tune as she headed back to her room.
Andre was ready to leave. When he saw Mia humming, his expression suddenly turned serious, "You seem pretty chipper, huh?"
"Mm-hmm."
After replying, she grabbed her pajamas and headed to the bathroom.
