“I don’t doubt it, and that brings us to attacks,” Alpha Nick mentioned, all expressions turned to one of seriousness. 

“Dustin, we are sure of Charlotte’s return, and the charcoal is the main thing to repel her,” Alpha Nick recalled and spoke. Then Sheridan gave her suggestion. 

“If we get the sign that she’s here with whichever army, it would be ideal for us to also not let her go. I would meet her outside the pack, and Nick, you can order the warriors to lock the gates or defend whichever enemies come in.” 

Alpha Nick disagreed. “Even if you are the one to face her, I would never allow you to do so alone. Dustin and Goldie can take care of the enemies in the pack, and both of us would face Charlotte.” 

Sheridan was speechless. “Are you afraid that I can’t defeat her?” 

Alpha Nick chuckled, knowing she was a tough one. “That isn’t the point. I would just be there to cheer you on,” he said, and everyone laughed. 

Sheridan pinched him playfully. “I never believed you could crack such jokes at a time like this.” 

Alpha Nick shrugged and leaned in. “You look so hot when you put on that serious expression.” 

Sheridan’s face was red, climbing to her ears. Dustin and Goldie could only smile at the interaction. 

Dustin never saw Alpha Nick so happy in his life, and Goldie never remembered seeing Sheridan blush so much. 

Love indeed had the power to change even the most powerful couple. Dustin recalled his role in the whole thing and stated.

The first time, they got married by contract with a wedding meant for Charlotte. Alpha Nick wanted to give Sheridan everything he never gave, and that included her dignity. 

Since she did not want the wedding, the coronation was going to be one of the best the packs ever had. 

“I would make sure the warriors are equally always on the alert,” Beta Dustin said solemnly. He too could not wait for Daisy to be united with her pack.

Sheridan stood up and walked to the door, opened and left it ajar. Everyone was confused. “Sherry, just say

Alpha Nick was getting worried, but Sheridan laughed suddenly. “Whoever is the last to reach the packhouse would do the dishes after lunch. No servants involved.” 

She ran away as soon as she said the word, and naturally, even if Alpha Nick did not understand her game, he wanted to be wherever she was and chased after her. 

Beta Dustin and Goldie understood it too late, but Goldie was the one to escape first. “Seems like you’ll be the one to do the dishes.” 

Dustin ran after her, and Goldie almost crashed into Athena. “Who is chasing you?” Athena was disturbed, but as Goldie looked around, neither Sheridan nor Alpha Nick was in sight.
