The Alpha’s Obsession with his Ex-Contract Luna by Glorious Eagle novel Chapter 137

Chapter 137
Athena did not answer, focusing on what she was doing. Bree was gagging, desperate for air. Who would believe it when she dies that her mother killed
her?
This was her mother, so she was not even trying to defend herself. Sheridan was afraid, torn between calling Nick to stop his mother or doing it herself.
But what if she ended up hurting Athena in the process or her action causes Bree’s 7
She still could not stand and just do nothing.
Then the strangest thing began to happen. Bree was not acting choked anymore, and she even spoke clearly, despite Athena’s hands wrapped around
her throat.
“Mom, what did you just do to me?”
Confusion brewed in her mind as she began to feel different from before. It was hear things beyond the reach of mankind.
as
if a different phase of life was opened for her, and she could see and
Athena withdrew her hand and sat in a chair, satisfied and exhausted. “It’s done.”
Those last words were heavy enough to drop the hint or even the answer to their questions.
“Wait…did you transfer your remaining powers to me?” Bree was shocked.
Her mother never used her powers physically but rather in words of wisdom, guiding the pack with it, including Alpha Nick.
Alpha Nick might be the strongest there was in terms of strength, but involving vision and foresight, his mother has been of great guidance.
However, though not gifted with his mother’s kind of powers, he has grown wise over the years from learning from her words of wisdom.
Bree thought by then that her mother was crazy, due to some of the things the powers made her say, unwilling to be a part of it.
Even when her mother’s premonitions came to pass, they only scared Bree more, making her draw away from her mother, unlike her elder brother who was rather close to her.
How could she have thought that the gift her mother gave her on the day of her coronation was the same one she had been running away from?
“I knew you would refuse if I say it so I had to do it so,” Athena confessed, and Bree frowned deeply.
“But…”
Athena cut her off, knowing what she wanted to say, Bree was still concerned about her birth pack, though certain that the powers would be of great use
to her.
“No. The pack already has a wise and fierce Luna. Daisy would grow to be very powerful. You need this to have foresight of everything that would happen to the pack before it does,” Athena explained.
Picking up a glass of water from the tray hosting Bree’s breakfast, she gulped it down, feeling drained from emptying herself.
However, she could begin hearing her wolf clearly with her physical strength returning to her.
“This is my gift to you on the day of your coronation as Luna,” she said with a smile, and Sheridan’s heart filled with warmth.
Whereas, Bree was moved to tears. At this juncture, she developed profound respect for the powers her mother freely accessed.
“Thank you, mom.” She hugged her mother tightly. “I’m so grateful.”
Athena stared profoundly at her second child, who used to be a spoiled brat because of how Nick used to dote on her.

Chapter 137
Now, she looked more mature than when she left her pack.
“No need to thank me. Promise me that you will rule with fairness. If that happens, your powers would be stronger.”
Bree smiled with appreciation. After all she learned from Sheridan, she knew exactly what to do.
“Yes, mom, I will.”
“And love your mate. Don’t let him be the only one doing things to make you happy,” Athena said, making Bree guilty.
Ever since joining the Riverbed pack, Ansaldo has been the one doing everything in his power to make her happy.
“You should in turn do the same for him. If sex is where his happiness lies, then give him more of it,” Athena said, making both Bree and Sheridan blush.
Matters like this were just awkward when coming from the older generation. Bree was glad to have never refused Ansaldo’s advances.
Perhaps that was the happiness that caused him to do things to equally make her happy.
“Okay, mom.”
There was a knock on the door, and Aiden entered, surprised that Bree transformed. His heart warmed that their Luna stood out on her special day.
“Luna, our Alpha is waiting downstairs.”
“Coming,” Bree yelled but stiffened slightly. “Tell him not to stand below the stairs.”
Aiden had both a worried and confused expression on his face. “That’s where he is now.”
Bree panicked from fear and instructed him. “Then tell him to move away right now.”
“That would ruin everything.”
Aiden did not want to add that Alpha Ansaldo was waiting right at the foot of the stairs to join his hand to that of Bree.
If Ansaldo so moved away, then the magical moment would be ruined, but Bree ordered sternly.
“Just do it now.”
Due to her hardened expression, Aiden ran outside, and due to the urgency, he did not say but rather pushed Alpha Ansaldo from under the stairs.
Upset, Alpha Ansaldo was about to question him when they heard a loud noise. The huge chandelier hanging above the stairs came crashing down.
This was strange. The chandelier could not just crush like that if it wasn’t faulty, but both the technical team and the maids had done all their checks
before now.
Shocked, Alpha Ansaldo stared at Aiden. “How did you know? You just saved my life.”
The noise attracted a lot of people, so Bree, her mother, and Sheridan had rushed to the top of the stairs, shocked to see what just happened.
Aiden could not understand what was happening, but neither could he take credit for something he did not do.
“It wasn’t me. It was your Luna. She told me to tell you to move away from the foot of the stairs.”
Bree stiffened slightly, wondering how Ansaldo was going to take the news of her powers now. Also, she already knew the people behind it.
They wanted Ansaldo out of the way. Bree was lost in thought as she heard Ansaldo’s questioning voice.
“How did you know that chandelier was going to fall?”
