"What's up? "
Donna Dustin's voice was laced with a hint of coldness. Her son had always been terrible at judging people's character; what was his motive for calling now?
"Mom, are you still mad at me?"
Robert knew Donna Dustin was mad because he had involved himself in a legal case. "Mom, Patty is your granddaughter; can you really stand by and watch her go to jail?"
Patrina was pregnant now, and if the Field family wanted the baby, they would have to marry her.
If it weren't for this reason, the Field family wouldn't have bothered getting involved in this legal mess.
"I only recognize Bri as my granddaughter." Donna Dustin cut him off, "Now that your relationship with Bri has deteriorated to this point, you'll regret it in the future!"
The phone call ended, leaving Robert with a gloomy expression.
Regret? What was there to regret?
For years, he had been mistaken as Brittany's biological father and had raised her. He admittedly manipulated Brittany, but he apologized. What more did Brittany want from him?
Always getting tangled up in Patrina's issues, what was the point?
Upon hearing Donna Dustin favor Brittany, Gianna scoffed. All this old woman had to look forward to was death!
Patrina's situation stirred up quite a commotion and had a highly negative impact on society. The case attracted a lot of attention.
The day of the trial.
Isaac and Brittany woke up early, had breakfast, and took Donna Dustin to court.
Before the trial started, the courtroom was already packed with people, including Robert and Gianna, as well as members of the Field family.
Hannah arrived early. Seeing them enter, she quickly approached, "Bri, I heard Patrina is pregnant; that's why the Field family is stepping in."
The Field Family was finally having a baby; how could they give up so easily?
"She's pregnant."
Brittany frowned. What a coincidence! Just before the trial, Patrina was confirmed to be pregnant.
"Yes, I heard the Field family had Patrina tested. Only after confirming the pregnancy did they decide to step in."
Isaac helped Donna Dustin to a seat in the spectators’ area and turned to Brittany, "Bri, the trial is about to start. Get ready."
Brittany smiled slightly, "Granny, Zakky is with you. I'll head over now."
Donna Dustin waved her off, "Alright, go ahead."
Isaac took out a small thermos from his bag and handed it to Donna Dustin, "Granny, have some water. I need to go to the restroom; don't wander off. I'll be right back."
