The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 215

Jones kicked Ruby away with a swift boot, "Get lost. I need some help myself right now."

Ruby crumbled to the ground, not sure if it was because of regret over the words she had let slip, or because she had pissed off someone important.

...

Back at the apartment.

Grace wandered off to her room while Brittany was leading Isaac back to theirs, "Zakky, this gold bracelet is too pricey. I want to return the money to Granny."

Isaac wrapped an arm around her waist, "No need, Granny has her retirement fund."

He considered all the stocks, dividends, and real estates as a part of her retirement fund.

Brittany was insistent, "But…"

"Granny bought it for you because she likes you. If you try to return the money now, it will make her sad." Isaac didn't see any problem with it. His eyes flickered as if he had thought of something. He pulled out a box from his briefcase and slid it in front of Brittany.

"What's this?" Brittany was puzzled.

"Open it and see." Isaac suggested.

Brittany did, and her eyes lit up. It was a Blue Diamond. Wait, wasn't this Blue Diamond won by Mr. Edgar at an auction? How did Isaac get it?

"Zakky, where did you buy this knock-off?" Brittany asked.

Mr. Edgar cherished this Blue Diamond greatly. She had been lucky enough to see the real thing before, and it looked exactly like the one in front of her.

Undeniably, this replica was exquisitely crafted. Even she couldn't find any flaws in it; it could almost pass for the real deal.

Isaac swallowed hard. He wanted to tell her that the diamond was real, but given that he hadn't revealed his true identity yet, explaining it now would be complicated. Plus, with Manuel's watchful eyes, now was not the right time to come clean.

He decided to let it slide.

"I have a friend who specializes in making replicas. I noticed you liked this Blue Diamond, so I bought this for you." Isaac said.

Brittany had indeed mentioned that she liked Blue Diamond. Although she hadn't made it explicit, he figured it out. Brittany was in love with this Blue Diamond, even if it was a fake.

She wrapped her arms around Isaac's neck, stood on her tiptoes, and gave him a peck. Her eyes were full of smiles, "I love it, thank you."
