Isaac's eyes flickered curiously. "Derek?"
"Yeah."
Derek groggily felt someone in his arms, got scared shitless, and shoved the person away.
"Who's that?"
"Derek, why did you push me?" Loraine's voice was soft and sad, and she looked pale with a gentle gaze.
Derek was totally baffled. Why was Loraine here?
Why were they lying together?
Seeing Derek's clueless expression, Loraine chuckled inwardly. Even fate was playing into her hands.
Last night, she just came to give it a shot and found Derek passed out alone at home. The living room had a weird vibe, and she could guess what had gone down.
That woman was gone.
Just as she had hoped.
She looked at her torn dress and said, "Derek, I just came to see you last night. I didn’t expect you to be drunk, and then we."
Tears suddenly fell from her eyes. "I tried to push you away, but I was too weak. What am I supposed to do now?"
Derek was hammered last night and had no clue what happened.
Hearing Loraine's accusations, he thought he had actually done something wrong.
He instinctively wiped her tears. "I'm sorry, Loraine, I was drunk. I've always liked you; I screwed up last night; let's get married; I'll take responsibility."
Loraine nestled against his chest, sobbing softly.
However, a triumphant glint flashed in her eyes.
Derek thought he had violated Loraine and felt guilty as hell. He comforted Loraine and promised to propose to the Field family right away.
Loraine nodded contentedly.
When Loraine went to take a shower, Derek called Katelyn and spilled the beans about last night.
"Derek, you really screwed up!" Katelyn was pissed off. She had repeatedly warned him, but shit still happened.
"I,"
