Brittany didn't mean anything like that.

After Linda left, Isaac was holding Brittany's hand as they got back home and found Grace chilling in the living room while Joie was getting water in the kitchen.

Hearing the noise outside, Joie poked her head out of the kitchen and said, "Bro Isaac, Brittany, you guys are back."

Brittany stood at the door, clearly not expecting her to be there.

Isaac took off his shoes, pulled out a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet, and then squatted down a bit, "Bri, foot out."

Brittany propped herself on the shoe cabinet and lifted her foot.

Isaac had a completely calm expression. His action of changing Brittany's shoes was so smooth it was like he'd done it a gazillion times.

Joie was dumbfounded, obviously taken aback by Isaac's actions.

After changing her shoes, Brittany walked into the living room and waved at Grace.

"I heard you guys went furniture shopping?" Grace took Brittany's hand, felt how cold it was, and felt a pang of sadness, "Zac didn’t take good care of you. Your hand is so cold; it makes me feel bad."

"Yeah, we were picking out furniture for our new place."

Joie came out with the water and handed it to Brittany, "Brittany, when are you guys moving? I haven't seen your new place yet!"

"Probably in the summer."

The house had just been renovated and needed some more time.

Joie just smiled and didn't say anything, only asked some questions about the furniture shopping. Brittany didn't really like Joie, but she couldn't blow up at her with Grace around.

They chatted for about an hour before Joie and Grace left.

After Joie left, she was dropped off at her apartment. Once she was sure Grace couldn't see her anymore, she let out a cold laugh.

Thinking Isaac was head over heels for Brittany, but the most expensive sofa set was only over five grand. It didn't even compare to a lamp in her apartment!
