Isaac got home early that day.
He planned to pick up Brittany from work, but she turned him down.
He thought she had a dinner meeting with a client, so he didn't think much of it until it was ten o'clock at night.
Brittany was still not home, and he was getting antsy, ready to head out the door.
That's when he saw Brittany getting out of a black car.
For some reason, Isaac immediately noticed that there was a man in the car.
The car was parked downstairs. Brittany seemed to exchange a few words with the person in the car, then laughed and went upstairs. The car, however, stayed put for a long time.
Without thinking, Isaac held his water glass tighter. Soon, the apartment door swung open.
Seeing him in the living room, Brittany greeted him with a smile, changed her shoes, put down her files, and said, “What's up, Zakky?”
Isaac glanced at the files on the shoe rack. "Work stuff?"
Brittany hesitated, then shook her head, “No, a friend gave them to me.”
Randell was a man of his word.
Brittany was a bit scared. Once he gave something, he almost never took it back.
Facing Isaac's questions, she thought for a moment. “He's a few years older than me, a guy my grandma used to sponsor. He's back now.”
Isaac put down his glass, walked over to her, and held her hand, “Have you eaten?”
“The food at Moon Inn is always good.”
Brittany didn't notice his unease. She followed him into the living room, rested for a while, then went into the bathroom.
Isaac picked up the pile of files, intending to help Brittany tidy them up, but one of them fell out. He picked it up and saw Brittany's name on it.
It was a file stating that a villa was to be transferred to Brittany. The house was located in an upscale villa area in Imperial City, with an area of over 2,000 square meters.
Worth over 70 million dollars, but without hesitation, it was given to Brittany.
