If he truly wanted to screw Randell over, he had a multitude of options.
She didn't want Randell to get dragged into this, let alone ruin his career.
Isaac could tell what she was thinking. He got off the bed, walked over to her, and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Bri, you can yell at me, fight with me, or curse me out, but no divorce."
Brittany felt weak. "Get out!"
She didn't want to talk about this anymore. She was exhausted.
Isaac didn't dare to push her too hard. "Okay, I'll leave. You should rest. I'll be right outside. If you feel unwell, let me know, okay?"
Brittany didn't want to talk to him. She pushed him away and stood by the window by herself. Isaac pursed his lips and left.
In the afternoon, Grace came to the hospital. She knew they had had a fight. She asked everyone to leave and held Brittany's hand. "Bri, are you still mad?"
"No."
Grace had always been good to her, and Brittany didn't want to be mad at her.
Grace could definitely read between the lines.
"Bri, I've been keeping this from you too." Grace looked sorry. "I apologize."
She also blamed Isaac for deceiving Brittany for so long.
Now that this had come to light, who wouldn't be mad?
Brittany wouldn't let Grace apologize. "Grandma, don't say that. I'm not mad at you."
"I know. You're mad because he didn't tell you about his real identity."
Grace sighed. "Zac was seven when his mother died. Over the years, he's been schemed against more than once or twice. People only see his status and wealth, but they don't think about the cutthroat world behind it."
She looked into Brittany’s eyes and continued, "He was wrong to hide his identity, but he truly loves you."
Brittany lowered her head. She knew Isaac had had a hard past, but that was no excuse for lying.
"Bri, Zac is quiet and not good at expressing himself. I understand the things he doesn't say." Grace looked at Brittany, knowing she was softening. "Zac really likes you. These past few months have been his happiest."
