The two of them arrived at a nearby restaurant. Just as they sat down, Hannah turned to Brittany and said, "Heard you moved, huh?"
"Yup."
Brittany was giving Hannah a silent stare, which was making her a tad bit uneasy. "Bri, don't look at me like that."
The cat was out of the bag. Isaac's true identity had been exposed. Hannah was in the loop. She knew she couldn't run from it.
"Bri, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have kept this from you, but I didn't have a choice."
Hannah kept apologizing, "I didn't know about you and Mr. Salter at first. Not until you were in the hospital."
Hannah spilled the beans, and spoke with caution, "Bri, I really didn't mean to keep this from you."
How could she have known things between Brittany and Isaac would go that far?
Brittany was idly tracing the rim of her glass. She couldn't blame Hannah. Even though Hannah had kept things from her, she knew Hannah didn't do it out of malice.
"Alright. Let's drop this."
Brittany cut Hannah off. If she didn't forgive her then, Hannah might have just burst into tears!
Hannah grabbed the menu and patted her chest, "Tonight's on me. Order whatever you like."
Brittany cracked a small smile, "Well then, don't mind if I do."
"Go ahead!"
Brittany didn't hold back and ordered a load of dishes. They chatted and dined, and the atmosphere was buzzing.
Hannah wanted to inquire about her future plans, but since Brittany didn't bring it up, she refrained from doing so.
After they had their fill, Brittany yawned and followed Hannah out of the restaurant.
Just as they stepped out, Hannah spotted a man standing outside.
A black Rolls-Royce was parked nearby. Isaac, donned in a woolen coat, leaned against the car door, holding a bouquet of sunflowers. Shrouded in the darkness of the night, he looked incredibly noble and aloof.
Hannah instinctively let go of Brittany's hand, "Bri, how about I take off first?"
"Sure."
