"How'd you know about that?" Isaac squinted his eyes. Shona would be toasted if he could pin this on her!
Shona was fighting for breath, "I have friends in the hospital..."
Isaac let go of her. Leaning on the car door, Shona was shaking all over, "Mr. Salter, I'm your only ally. Are you sure you don't want to chat?"
...
Hannah exited the apartment. Derek tried to accompany her, but she shoved him away, "Derek, stop following me."
"Derek, I had no idea about this. I'm sorry. I..." Derek tried to apologize.
"Derek, I don't want to see you anymore." Hannah looked pale, "I wanted to tell you earlier that the one who saved your grandma wasn't me, but Bri. I just gave her a hand."
Hannah didn't feel like dealing with Derek. She stormed off.
Derek was left there, frozen.
When Hannah returned to the hospital, Brittany was still unconscious.
Grace heard about the emergency. She was sitting in the ward; her eyes were red from crying.
Joie was comforting her on the side.
Hannah didn't know why Brittany and Isaac ended up like that, but she had a gut feeling that she didn't like Joie.
"Grace, it's late. Please go home."
No one needed them to put on a show of caring for Brittany here.
Grace was about to say something when Brittany stirred on the bed. Hannah noticed it immediately and asked, "Bri, are you awake?
Don't get excited. You went through an emergency last night. The doctor said you can't get excited."
She soothed her with a gentle voice. Her words seemed like a warm stream, flowing into Brittany's heart.
