The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 473

"That would be best."

Brittany couldn't be bothered with Joie. She flopped onto the bed with the help of her bodyguard.

Joie tried to stir the pot, but Brittany didn't bite.

Biting her lip in frustration, Joie stormed out.

Once Joie left, Brittany turned to her bodyguard and said, "Don't tell Mr. Salter about Joie's visit."

She knew these bodyguards were Isaac's eyes and ears, keeping tabs on her every move, even what she ate and drank.

The bodyguard simply pressed his lips together and said, "Get some rest, Mrs. Salter."

Clearly at a loss for a response, he chose to dodge the issue.

Brittany took her medicine daily. She should've been getting better, but her health was only getting worse, and she was sleeping longer and longer.

Hannah tried to visit, but the security stopped her. Pissed, she called Isaac to give him a piece of her mind. Before she could finish, sleepiness overtook Brittany, and she was unable to calm her down.

Hannah chewed him out, but Brittany didn't respond. Helplessly, she hung up.

...

Bennett's Mansion.

Looking at the recent reports from the bodyguards, Isaac's face hardened, "Didn't you say you could develop an antidote?"

Shona didn't expect Brittany's condition to be so severe.

"The poison has mutated several times; finding an antidote isn't easy. Just give me more time. I'll hurry."

Shona knew Isaac's cooperation was all because of Brittany. If anything happened to Brittany, Isaac might have even breached the contract.

She didn't want to fall out with Isaac, and she had a soft spot for Brittany. She didn't want to see Brittany suffer.

Isaac closed the file, "Ms. Bennett, I'll give you half a month. If there's no progress by then, don't blame me for breaking our deal."

"I understand."

Shona and Isaac talked for a long time. Before leaving, Shona asked, "I heard Ms. Dustin is locked up. How is she doing?"

"Not well."
