Nathan left Radiant Residences.
"Nathan." A black car zoomed in, coming to a halt right in front of him. Derek Bishop stepped out. "Heard Daniel went MIA? Found him yet?"
"We have found him."
After getting a rundown of the situation, Derek noticed the dark circles under Nathan's eyes. "How long has it been since you last rested?"
Isaac's work pace over the past five years could only be described as crazy intense.
He was all in on his work, barely giving his subordinates any breathing room.
Nathan, his right-hand man, was practically running on fumes.
"Three days."
"I'll take over from here. You go get some rest."
Derek didn't want Nathan keeling over from exhaustion; if anything happened to Nathan, he might end up becoming Isaac's unlucky assistant.
Even machines on an assembly line seemed to have had an easier time than Nathan.
"Okay."
After Nathan left, Derek sent people to continue the investigation.
An hour later, he saw the investigation results, and it was jaw-dropping!
...
Just as a remote meeting was in progress, the sound of knocking came from outside the door, interrupting Brittany's train of thought.
The meeting wasn't going smoothly, so the knocking gave her an excuse to end it.
She stood up.
Expecting room service, she opened the door, only to be pulled into a hug by Derek. "Why didn't you tell me you were back?"
Brittany was taken aback and quickly pushed Derek away. "What are you doing here?"
During her third year abroad, she had accidentally run into Derek once. Since then, Derek had been like a shadow following her, treating her with extreme flattery as if their past unpleasantness didn't exist.
