The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 504

Kari finally stopped crying, wiping away her tears, "Brittany, you're finally back. I've been missing you all these years."

"Me too."

Brittany had rushed over from the hospital, not even having time to change into formal wear. Kari led her upstairs and said, "I had my assistant prepare something for you."

Upon entering the room, a stylist and a makeup artist were already waiting for them.

Brittany plopped down in front of the dressing mirror, ready for them to work their magic.

Kari wanted to stay and chat but was called away.

She was super busy, and as Brittany watched her hustle around efficiently, a pang of sadness hit her.

Ever since Brittany left five years ago, Kari had cut ties with Wesley Tueley and had been suppressed in the industry for a long time.

But Kari had risen to the occasion, successfully leading Bri-jeweled Studio out of the rut.

The makeup artist, who was new, kept praising Brittany for her great complexion. Brittany just laughed it off.

Once her look was done, the stylist picked out a black Audrey Hepburn-style dress that perfectly matched Brittany's look for the day.

Brittany went into the changing room.

When Kari came back from a phone call looking upset, it was clear the conversation hadn't gone well. She walked over to the water cooler, poured herself a cup of water, and drank it in one go. The sound of crunching paper filled the room as Kari crushed the cup in her hand, looking visibly frustrated.

“Those damn bankers! They were begging for a partnership before, but now they're the first ones to wash their hands off any responsibility. Real fair-weather friends!” she thought.

"What's wrong?" Brittany emerged from the dressing room and noticed her upset, "Did the talk not go well?"

Kari didn't want to burden her, "Bri, it's nothing. Everything's fine."

Brittany walked over to her, gently taking the crumpled cup from her hand, "You've been holding up this studio for the past five years. You've worked so hard."

"Bri..." Kari's eyes welled up with tears.

Bri-jeweled Studio was like her child. She would have done anything for what she loved.

"I'll handle this financial issue." Brittany couldn't bear to see Kari shoulder everything alone anymore. She asked the makeup artist and the stylist to leave, then pulled Kari down to sit. "After this financial issue is sorted, I may leave here."

Brittany stood up, walked over to the dressing table, took a document out of her bag, and slid it in front of Kari.
