Isaac clearly just got there. He was all sweaty, and his eyes were filled with panic.
Brittany stood there, not understanding why he had the nerve to show up in front of her.
"Are you with him?" Isaac didn't expect Brittany to get together with William so quickly and to openly make their relationship public.
He had seen a photo of them holding hands on Facebook.
Brittany glanced subconsciously at William, who was sleeping in the car, then looked at Isaac and replied, "Yes."
"Bri, I..." A hint of loss flashed in Isaac's eyes. His lips trembled, "Why can't you give me a chance?"
He could explain what happened five years ago.
"Isaac," she said coldly, "I've been good to you since I met you. I've never done anything to hurt you except for that video. However, you caused me to lose my child and indirectly caused my grandma's death. Can you disappear from my life?"
"It's not like that..." Isaac eagerly grabbed her hand, "Five years ago, I didn't betray you. I never thought of hurting you."
Brittany pulled her hand back; her calmness was frightening, "What happened, happened. We're long done. You won."
Brittany had thought about getting back at him, but she knew she didn't have the strength to go against him.
A hint of gloom swept across Isaac's eyes.
Brittany felt a chill. She instinctively stepped back.
"Are you sure you want to be with him?"
"Sure."
Her chill intensified.
After a while, Isaac said, "Don't regret it."
Then he quickly walked away.
Brittany stood there, feeling all her strength being drained. She instinctively leaned on the car door to keep herself steady.
Soon, the chauffeur arrived.
Brittany snapped back, gave William's address, and then got in the car.
