Brittany took the lemonade, saying, "Thanks."
The maid was quite fond of Brittany. Upon hearing her words, she waved it off, "Ms. Dustin, it's just my job."
She continued, "Don't take Mrs. Dillion's words to heart. Mr. Dillion is really into you. He won't ask you to quit your job. He'll back any decision you make."
Brittany knew that.
While William was gentle, he was also very firm.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have put up with the pressure of the past five years, sticking with her abroad.
"I know," Brittany said.
After drinking the lemonade, Brittany was led to the guest room by the maid.
The room was very clean and tidy.
Brittany thanked the maid and then went into the room to freshen up.
She wasn't used to sleeping in a strange bed, so she didn't sleep well all night.
The next morning, when Brittany woke up, everyone else was already awake.
Seeing her come downstairs, William stood up and asked, "Did you sleep well last night?"
Brittany shook her head, "I'm not used to the new bed."
William understood. He gently patted her head, "Then you should skip the studio today. I'll take you home later to rest, okay?"
"No can do. I got a message from Viola Miller last night. I have to talk business with her today."
William took her by the hand and led her to the breakfast table, telling his parents, "Mom, Dad, Bri and I are together."
Timothy Dillion had already softened. Hearing William's words, he nodded, indicating his approval of the match.
Mrs. Dillion didn't show any emotion.
William frowned. He wasn't happy with his mother's cold attitude towards Brittany.
"It's okay," Brittany saw his concern and reassured him by holding his hand.
She then said, "Give it time."
Brittany knew the Dillions didn't like her. If her child lost a leg for a woman and refused to come home for five years, she wouldn't like that woman either.
But they still had time.
